  1. Mad Lads for me fantastic double sided "Did my baby call/Let me repair your heart " Came in a soul pack from Contempo/Blues and Soul 10 for a pound probably 1973, Continued buying anything I could by them over the next few years. It's still a cheap record to buy today.
  2. Willie Mitchell London demo? Spinners Motown demo?
  3. This could become this decades "Elgin Marbles" Should we all post our records back to America? To ease our consciences.
  4. Went for almost £7000.........wow! Two great sides
  5. Watch out for the soul police! You could be arrested for dancing without a licence and be disqualified for 12 months.

Mine arrived Saturday while I was out. Wife's hidden it away for Christmas and no amount of pleading will change her mind. Will be able to give feedback end of December.

I know we've all heard it a thousand times but nothing I've heard can beat Bob and Earl's "Harlem Shuffle"
  9. Bacharach and David would be an obvious choice. Bert Berns not so obvious but a favourite of mine. Also Deadric Malone for his Duke input......if he did indeed compose the numerous compositions in his name. Was it Giant and Baum who did a lot of the big top composing
  10. Ebay flooded with boots. They have the wrong writer credits.

Never seen a red mojo. Only mojo demos I've ever seen have the very small not for sale stickers with red writing on them I've had lots of those and nearly all of the stickers have fallen off. James brown records on parlaphone are red,and of course the polydor releases were all red. Without checking I think the only James brown release on mojo was " Hey America /Brother Rap"
  12. I never heard it until it came out on the direction label a bit later. Got a surprise when I eventually got the Columbia version how different the two mixes are.
  13. Nothing at all for me either.
  14. It really is superb. Is there any chance of this being made available on any format in the future?
  15. 554 is Kim Weston 544 Barbara McNair Kim Weston value imo about £200 although there is one for sale on rare northern soul missing a centre for £400 so I could be miles off.
  16. Brilliant renditions vocals and backing. If I had to pick a favourite so far"I never loved her anyway'" which compared to the rest was a bit of a surprise inclusion
  17. I had no idea blues and soul were doing 10 records for a £1 in 2016. Darrell Banks was quite a bargain! Is this for real?
  18. Why would Marvin gaye fetch £960,....wouldn't EMI have pressed the same amount of red and white demos for all the 500 series?
  19. I know we all have different tastes but to me I cant help loving you....brilliant northern soul When we get there ....awful pop music.
  20. Gladys knight demo £100 less than the last one fetched a year ago.
  21. Rascal is looking for one in the records wanted section
