  1. Bought my first copy with " I'm having so much fun " on the flip as " fun " was on an Ian Dewhirst sales list at £8 described as " literally my favourite record of all time" so thought it would be worth a punt .Got it off Soul Bowl for £3 , this was about 1983 ? My second copy with " Funky funky twist " on the flip was a gift from a friend who had multiple copies in his loft .
  2. Well worth getting for the vocal of " Like a rolling stone " on the flip , which isn't available on any other 45.....

  10. Wonder if Richard still has his other copy of The Professionals that he used to play at Wigan late 70's early 80's ? He always used to announce it as " This is Steve Mancha ...."
  11. Did Chris Bartley " My heart belongs to you " , plus " Sing yeah sing " Van McCoy and Van's version of " Funny face girl " come from that acetate batch Kev ? I have tapes of them via Rob Marriott , who had them at the time [ 1995 ] cheers Eddie

  14. Not going to get involved in any discussion on the various opinions on the 100 Club , just to say I love it , am enjoying it as much as ever ,and but for extreme family circumstances would have been there last Saturday .See you all in December ...Eddie
  15. I remember an article in Black Music , where Tony Cumming's visited The Mecca , and Levine was playing Chris Jackson from a 444 acetate , the only known copy apparently .The record has the same backing track as Total Eclipse " You took your love that was torn to pieces " [ Right On ] .
  16. It's interesting to note that P -Vine thought they had the right to release " Let's talk it over " on CD , thinking it a Goldwax track , but not realising the master had been sold to Fame publishing .This is why UK label Kent have only , in recent times released this side , since they gained the rights to the Fame catalogue .
  17. I know Rob Marriott's acetate was done from my Japanese CD ,as was Otis Clay " Come my dear " , also Jap CD only ....
