  1. Confusingly named Andy like the famous variety singer, accompanied by a Zodiacs group (like Maurice Williams) this Andy of 'darker' shade arranged by an oddly named John Lemon guy provides... Crossover soul ! Look & listen to scans & mp3 from actual record. Looks VG++ (scuffs/wear) but plays barely the same as M- copies. andy williams.mp3 £50 FREE SHIPPING ALL OVER THE WORLD. ADD £6 TO HAVE IT REGISTERED. Grading through M - EX - VG - G... PM me to inquire
  2. Worse than he did there and then... ? 🥶😪😉 ...
  3. Far from being a favorite singer of mine but although I have some of his records (M-G-M, Argo, Janus) his involvement in 'black' music is something. His approach might be too much on the 'pop'-y side. None the less he was a serious 'supporter/promoter' for many artists... RIP !
  4. Have vague memories of reading that she was related with someone at One-derful... Was she ?
  5. Thanks Mal, I could find Mark O'Shaughnessy (Resolution records) but not his listing on 'Cogs but that ex-copy of yours is not offered on sale there. I await a JW copy as well. Nice vanity label variant. The IPG label I do not like one bit. Only I wanted to compare both mastering job on this very one.
  6. Oh yes indeed it id a different take to the Saints's cut on close listening. Good for pointing that out. I do like the Saints broader musical treatment in depth and production better. But to reach his/hers.
  7. Yes indeed many popular songs that are at the "base" of our early days into record collecting. For example one for me that I still play (out as well) from time to time is Jackie Shane 'comin' down'. R.I.P.
  8. Anyone with a very clean (vinyl not styrene) copy to let go ? Please PM me
  9. Always been since my teens to this day a very strong firm favorite in my heart and on my deck. What a fabulous cheap and cheerful beautiful 45 to look and listen to. Every home should have one. FWIW I am certain that her singing was taken over/re-recorded to give that slight off-sync/off-set vocal shrill effect and allowing her own choruses/answers/echoes toward the end to great effect IMO.
  10. Want: 'no on loves you'. Please PM me if ever you have one for sale. Cheers, Tim
  11. He sells carver with photocopy labels and mention it otherwise. This one looks to be just that but no mention of that in this item's description... You might want let him know that if ever. I'm not. All this unimaginative 45 re-issuing business wether it being "legit" or not is just over sickening IMO.
  12. On my current 'play' selection/pile next to my phono station they are one next to the other... 😜
  13. The Four Sonics - Where Were You / Triple B EX++ £30 Luvly minty copy, same as the Boss Release of course. The Johnny Dixon on Boss is the same take of 'where are you' but without the majestic backing vocal harmonies of this Four Sonics.. 😉
  14. Lovely tune, credit merit (in regard of this topic) and musical 'tip' indeed. For a record that I have always flipped over and never gave a listen to. Hearing the fab writers team through. And even those singers sound "black". I've been fooled ! I'll pick a copy next time I'll stumble on a cheap clean copy.
  15. WEEEEEEEEEEP ! Here I am standing... reading this. R.I.P. Ed
  16. Monumental vocal group... Hat's off to ya fella CowBoy ! We still live with him every time he's heard so vivid he is. My humble side note; there's barely no home musical session without this one hitting the deck. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
  17. BIG Big (wheel) Man through Highs an Lows. R.I.P. A man of so many talents, gear and opportunities.
  18. Anyone know the story behind this limited edition; who, where, when and how many pressed ?
  19. My discovering of the artist with 'talkin'bout Jonz'. Still a favorite and a later recent long awaited acquisition for me. R.I.P.
  20. In May 1966 in New York... 😉
  21. Tommy Hunt as featured in the Signatures clip...
  22. Which one you want; the white label, the Outta Sight or the Secret Stash pressing ?
  23. EvilBay 'COVID' bug. Nothing we can do. Only them can fix that.
  24. Bootleggers word or laugh... Where's the difference ? FWIW while I can't say better, those Motown/Gordy 'HIT' bootlegged copies while being poorly made an looking doggy as sounding bad with the continuous runs of OEM represses made me believe these where actually them unworthy (re)-boot presses.
  25. Emanuel Laskey's rarest Thelma. Actually his only Thelma release that is almost as hard to find on a stocker than as a promotional copy. Attesting somehow of the poorer sales this Emanuel's 45 had. None the less his "rawest" as well. This copy like most did have a life and so show some degree of use. Likely this copy had some time out of a sleeve as both the label an vinyl show wear. Although graded as a VG (through EX) it plays amazingly well an strong on both sides. The vinyl surface is scuffy and marked. Although during playback only occasional pops are actually audible. So not a collector's prize but a very satisfying filler for someone willing to play it home until an upgrade copy shows up if ever. Scans an sound clip of both sides with needle drop and lift from actual copy for sale. run for my life.mp3 £175 FREE SHIPPING ALL OVER THE WORLD. ADD £6 TO HAVE IT REGISTERED. Grading through M - EX - VG - G... PM me to inquire
