Preludes On Harthon
CANT FIND A SCAN OF AN ORIGINAL PRELUDES BUT THE LABEL OF A REAL ONE SHOULD LOOK LIKE THIS..... THE 70'S 2ND ISSUES CAME FROM JOHN ANDERSON (SOUL BOWL) I THINK THE 2ND ISSUE PRELUDES IS ON AN ORANGE LABEL WTH HARTHON IN A PLAIN STRAIGHT TYPEFACE. THE UNITED FOUR, BODY MOTIONS, VOLCANOS (FALSE ALARM) ETC... WERE ALL DONE AS 2ND ISSUES IN THE SAME WAY...SEE BELOW 2ND ISSUE 2ND ISSUE 2ND ISSUE HOPE THIS HELPS.... APART FROM THE UNITED FOUR ALL THE OTHER RED LABELLED HARTHON ORIGINALS ARE QUITE HARD AND ALSO VERY COLLECTIBLE. A REAL PRELUDES MIGHT FETCH £150 TO £200 ALL THE BEST HAMMIE

The Sweets "satisfy Me Baby" Reissue Wanted
You obviously realise the old pressing does'nt have the fantastic vocal side 'Something about my baby' which is why this record has gone up so much in value. The pressing has the instumental of 'Satisfy me baby'

Impalas Speed Up Capitol
Have a nice demo of this gem (sorry not for sale) In my opinion I reckon this is harder to get than Betty Moorer (had 3 copies on my trips) and I think the Impalas version is also better imo. Anyway good luck sure you'll get a copy

Born A Loser
Around 1978 a friend of mine called Dave Chase was going to the Wigan oldies Allnighter I said to Dave 'can you see if you can sell these records for me mate, a couple of not so well known tracks and 3 played out oldies'. I then said 'Try and get me around £20 if you can as Ginger has promised to sell me his copy of Margaret Mandolph now that its been pressed' Dave duly obliged and got me the £20 so I was well pleased and bought him a couple of beers. Oh, the records he sold for me to buy Margaret Mandolph were..... THE HIGH KEYS - LIVING A LIE - VERVE BLACK ISSUE EDWARD HAMILTON - BABY DONT YOU WEEP - MARY JANE TOMMY BUSH - I DONT LIKE IT - RIKA SILKY HARGAVES - KEEP ON LOVING ME - DEARBORN ISSUE JOSEPH MOORE - I JUST CANT GET TO YOU - MAR-V-LUS OH DEAR, OH DEAR, OH DEAR

Some One Ought To Tell Him
OH DEAR, OH DEAR, I think the guy must be selling a second hand collection he has aquired from an ex soulie from the 70's who's found a box of his old records in the loft The BOBBY GARRETT on Mirwood looks okay plus a few odds n sods. Dig those old pressings like the Gloria Jones, Sandra Phillips, and Magnificents they got to be rare now Unfortunately someone however has taken the bait and put in an initial bid of £30 on the probable boot of Johnny Sayles OH DEAR, OH DEAR. Just hope we dont see a £1000 bid on the 'PINK' ROBBY LAWSON

Mikki Farrow On Flea Bay
Original has a 'bed' type stamp in the dead wax like you see on MGM records. That should be easy to see in good light
