  1. This ? £20 ?
  2. Don't often get the chance as I always seem to end up in a conversation about ZTSC #'s and then I wish I'd stuck to stamp collecting. I always found him very talkative but a combination of drink and his hillbilly drawl meant I rarely understood a word.
  3. It was the GW Sunliners, and if I knew then what I know now I would have told him I definitely wasn't the swinging kind.
  4. I met him first in '79. In his shop one of the Sunliners made a couple of advances toward me. Unexpected and he didn't make a third but Bob cooled the situation and I made a note to myself to butch up. Day after went fishing with Bob and another guy and first thing he did after a morning's steady drinking was to throw up in the back of the car. The lid had come off the container of rancid chicken livers we were to use for bait. Awful smell but another drink and Bob was fine. Got to the lake where Bob strolled around, taking in the fine view and copious amounts of beer and schnapps, until he fell in. Got him out and left him to dry out. Happy days.
  5. Please don't remove all information from ads once sorted. Adding SORTED is enough. See wants/sales guidelines. Thanks ROD [Moderator]
  6. Please can we avoid bringing up EU/ Brexit etc. Just stick to original question as to how £ to $ rate will affect record buying habits, Thanks ROD [Moderator]
  7. Well, I'll go t'fut of our apples. Never been so insulted since I last spoke t'trouble. Mince ? Sashay, I can live with. PM me re international sales. I owe you.
  8. I'm now on P.49 For a Londoner he's done really well. There's punctuation and a lot of the words are spelt correctly. I don't think he's gone for the Liverpudlian market though.
  9. If you would reinstate those you've already deleted, thanks.
  10. Can you not delete prices please. See sales guidelines. ROD [Moderator]
  11. Mine has now arrived. It will make a fine coffee-table book as unfortunately I failed to fully follow the Ikea instructions so one leg is shorter than the others. When Tony told me he hoped to make a wedge I didn't realise he had my table in mind.
  12. I first met the author back in '72 at the Wheatsheaf soul sessions in London. A fine figure on the dance floor demonstrating the "walk". OK, it was the Lambeth variety but I knew then he was one day going to run his own jellied-eel franchise. I was wrong about that but I'm sure I'm not wrong about buying this book, but if I am I can always claim a refund as I used PayPal. Finally an apology to the author as down the years I've always confused him with Tony Smith, and if I'm truthful, Phil Mitchell and Bert from Mary Poppins.
  13. I told you at the time the skirt didn't hang right on your hips so it's no good complaining now.
  14. He probably is. Just that you're ancient too so don't notice. Never caught yourself gazing at an OAP with a shopping trolley and thinking it might come in handy.
  15. Very sad, Mike. Thanks for posting

  19. You're thinking of Ralph Carter's 70's version on Mercury. https://www.45cat.com/record/6167379
  20. Closing this now as Joe has informed me he has contacted the buyer to sort out the problem. ROD [Moderator Sales]
  21. Can you please leave prices in when editing sold items. Also it's enough to edit ad when items sold. No need for extra posts. See sales guidelines. Thanks ROD [Sales Moderator]
  22. You'd look good in a beard, Mark. Hi-ho, hi-ho it's off to dj I go.
  23. As other posters have pointed out if you were not happy first thing to do is contact seller and arrange to return 45 for refund. You can still leave comments for the transaction using Feedback facility. I know it can be annoying but jumping in without taking reasonable steps in the first instance is not the way to remedy any problem. I'm sure Joe will be in touch once he's aware you're unhappy. 24. OK. Moved into here for any further comments. ROD
