Tommy Wills is a white saxophonist, but there's no photos anywhere of the 'Airtown' Vondells.

I always presumed the 'Airtown' Vondells were a white group?

Don't think the Discogs photo is correct for the Brunswick group. 45cat is only showing the one release and notes claim there is 3 of them in the group. Here's a quote from jukeboxgeorge on that site regarding the Brunswick 45. According to John Clemente's Girl Groups: Fabulous Females Who Rocked the World, this trio was Sylvia Hammond (formerly of The Clickettes), Gloria Gilbert, and Jehoshabeth (Jay) Dunston. They hooked up with Samada Productions (Sampson Horton/Bobby Adams) when Johnnielouise Richardson was slow in securing a deal for the trio.

For Soul I've always been a fan of this one... For UK Reggae I love these but I only have a couple myself as they are tough to find...

Just want to add, there is a 45 of this by the writer of it, Paul Anka on RCA Victor. Only trouble is it's sung in Italian!

Here's a traditional 60's Northern dancer, one that's been doing the rounds recently (before lockdown!).. It's from 1966 and only came out in Canada (Quality Records) until last year when it got a release in the UK on 'Moustrap' due to regular plays.

What year is the Dean Parrish? Nice that. Was it released on a 45? EDIT: Found it, Acid Jazz 2021. Thanks.

The Tymes did the same thing, early 60's. At least they advertised the fact! The 45 is in a little pocket on front of the LP.

Personally I like it. It is 'Northern' Soul. Rare, odd, weird and a great back beat. You don't name yourself 'Soul Brother' if you're going to play Jewish Folk or Country, surely. Hey, I respect your views though Soulstrutter, diverse taste is what it's all about 👍 KTF

A bit late in the day I know, but I now have a WAV / MP3 of Rodd Keith 'I'm A Man' (Preview) which I managed to source from an old Northern Soul compilation tape that someone did me in the 1980's (might have been Pete Smith). Quality isn't perfect but there are no sound-files anywhere of this great 45 (imo).
