  1. Great record. Upwards of £400 for a decent copy. I'd put it up for offers and leave it for a week. Peter
  2. Yep, that's alright that is.
  3. He needs a clip round the ear Kegsy it's awful. Ruined my vision of your quaint little drinking hole too. Little bastard!
  4. It's probably the killer B sides that have made it all what it is. P
  5. Great post Kev. Typical great soul music pick from you - don't you just feel short changed at 2.22. Nice one mate. Thanks. Peter
  6. One of Luther's many covers. A very, very different take. Peter
  7. Some great picks on this thread. Some lovely tunes which are new to me. Thanks Peter
  8. That would be my understanding of a test press too.
  9. I concur. Awesome dance record with fantastic soulful vocals - maybe a little too uptempo for me these days. Comestibles anyone?
  10. Johnny Come Lately Again! Anyway been meaning to post this for ages but couldn't find a clip - I don't have the where with all to upload my own records, but someone just put a clip on youtube. So, not much beats Al Wilson in my book, but, I bought this off Pat Brady back in the early 80's - he played it a few times but it was never a big spin. Fantastic cover of an Al track, and a lovely record label design too. Johnny Dean - I've Got A Feeling. Love the backing vocals on this. Ave it!
  11. There are two here - https://www.discogs.com/sell/release/473455?ev=rb Personally, I think it's horrible. Peter
  12. Yep. Paid a fair bit for my 45 and the label is battered - decent vinyl though. Great dance track. Peter
  13. Couple on discogs. https://www.discogs.com/sell/release/2677236?ev=rb
  14. Steve Plumb has an issue.
  15. Only just started reading Gethro's book and I'm enjoying it. Not even got to any soul yet- just his miserable young life in the orphanage. Any soul will be a bonus.
  16. Got my copy yesterday. Looks like a really good read. Peter
  17. Yep, they're nice. Personally, I just think they're all just slightly off the mark - over produced and manufactured.
  18. I agree it's a lovely record.
  19. Nice one Tim. Any chance of a play list? Thanks Peter
  20. Obviously gets her good looks from her mam! Nice photo Steve.
  21. Sir Dickie Wigan spin - covered up as Esther Philips if my memory serves me right. Unfortunately my memory rarely does. Any how's a great record - also big at Clifton Hall and Cleethorpes (Steve Croft) promotions. Peter
  22. Huge record back in the day. Great dance track. Peter
  23. And far to eye for me. I go all funny stood on the kerb.
  24. This geezer was looking for the Chantels.
