  10. Now back to normality after Scarborough weekender, got to say the venue was fantastic, well organised by Rob, Pat & Rob, well done you Reep what you sow lads, proud of you, its all hard slog organising these events as you well know, it was well turned out never heard one slur all weekend about the event, in all fairness how could they, choice of great music Djs in the rare and underplayed room, same in main hall, i personally had a ball, look ing forward to Bridlington next year and also Scarborough, well done everyone great weekend.
  11. Was deeply saddened by the news of Glens death when Fergie told me at Bridlington yesterday, myself and Gilly spent a week last year in Chicago with Glen, Jim and the lads, Glen was in heaven when Jimmy Burns sang Gypsy woman especially for Glen, we had an absolute ball, one of Life's greats, will be sadly missed on the soul scene, a lovely , lovely man, Deepest sympathy to the family and all his very closest mates. Steve Gainey & Steve Gill. Hull
  12. , Theres a cracked copy here in sunny HULL still plays great, absolute gem from the legend himself, apparently now resides in a nursing home after having a stroke, sad, but what a legacy of music he has given us. Steve
  13. Hi to Kev,Dennis, Teresa & Gloria, Bouncers on door Steve and the ever terrifying Charmaine ( wrist band spotter), A really big thank you to all of the above who were in our opinion superb, everthing was great, hotels, ship food, drinks and of course the music, i appreciate things like this are difficult to organise and do not please everyone but for myself and debbie, plus my good friends Chris, Allie, Steve & Irene we had an absolute ball. It makes me realise why the people and the music are so special to my life, where can you go talk to strangers like youve known them all of your life, listen to a great mix of tunes from oldies to xover, modern R&B and have no trouble, absolutely brilliant. Best to all on the cruise and hope to meet you all again soon, Regards Steve Gainey
