Sensational night at Ashton Ukrainian Club!! July is traditionally a quiet period on the soul calendar, not a bit of it, another packed house!! Great to catch up with Wilxy,Dave Holt and Paul Baldwin, two quality guys from another iconic club Lowton Civic Hall, bit of a BVAN reunion last night, sorry never got to chat to Martin L.

Phil Dunn, got us off to a great start, with a great across the board mix, followed by a really entertaining 90 mins of double decking, with "Team Ukrainian" regular Simon Ingham and Allan Coney hitting us with unissued acetates, current biggies and everything in between!! Karl Chalky White followed with a real classy set, with some 60s bangers and a few Lifeline memories, with one acetate that sounding very similar in arrangement to Billy Prophet "what can I do"(well to my ears anyway) Some great 70s/crossover finding favour on the dancefloor, which had Steve Plumb racing from the bar area and nodding his approval to see a full dance floor, it really is an open minded crowd at Ashton.

Next up, cometh the hour, cometh the man Andy Dyson just WOW!! absolutely smashed it out of the park, breath taking selections, unknowns, classics, crossover winners and high praise indeed to draw comparisons with Lifeline, with a real "up for it crowd, take a bow sir!!!

Lord Churm of Ashton, completed in fine style, another, in a long line of you had to be there nights!!
