Remember buying this around 1973 from Kev McCaffrey for a fiver, bloody brilliant!.......never ever got played anywhere up in these parts so still an unknown record, would love to here an alt version.

Sorry Steve to correct you, but I played this at The Legion and at The Band Club. (circa 74-76)

Also Andy Riding give it a few spins as well.thumbsup.gif

BTW I did have a few for sale as well, about £2 each.yes.gif

Massive 100 Club tune, would love to compare to the 45.

ady

Absolutely. Early-mid 80s I recall this being played and if I recall correctly was featured on one of Ady's Kent compilation LP.

Ok so ill re-phrase it dave...........it didnt get played much up here :) and I certainly never heard it at any nighters in those days.

Kev Mac may be an old toss-pot but he did come up with a few good records!

Yes Steve, Kev did come up with some gems.

I think Richard Searling will always be thankful that he sold The Jades "I'm Where It's At" to him and not Ian Levine.yes.gif

You might be right about it not being played at all-nighters before The 100 Club in the 80s.thumbsup.gif

The production on this record is incredible and i couldn't believe my ears when i heard the guitar in the mix on the original pressing (didn't seem as prominent on the Kent comp.).

Would love to hear an alternate version.

Well its sold! so there! nah nah nah nah nah

We don't wanna buy it, we just want to hear it!

can upload it once RefoSoul is back and running if anybody's still interested?

Bought the album simply out of curiosity about the Two People track and have to say, doesn't sound like an alt take to me. More like one of those 'fake stereo' mixes you can find on many french compilations from the 1960s. I'd be a bit disappointed if it wasn't for the stand out deep soul tracks on side 2 :hatsoff2:

Unless it's a misprint on the Revue label and the 45 version ends infact at 01:22 both versions are 02:22..............

NB: the take on the Kent album was/is different tho!

Well????...we`re all waiting patiently for the clip to be uploaded.

Yep you're right they are both the same , lp says 3.23 but I timed it , it's 02.22

I'd upload it if I could find the CD I recorded it on. LP is in storage so no chance for you to hear it until I find the CD again (might be in the car, will have a look tomorrow morning). Two small kids turned me into an organisational disaster

Sounds the same to me, thanks Benji.

What's the difference with the Kent LP before i try to dig them out?

Yes, it's the same. Just with added fake stereo. Does that qualify for calling it a different mix?

The Kent LP take doesn't have that guitar miaow* from what I remember...

* hope it makes sense but I don't know how to describe it....

Guitars enhanced on this version? Fantastic!

Awsome track. I now what Phil means about better tracks, but few sound like this.

Real Daniel Peacock moment at the end. :D
