I'd like to dj dressed as Genghis Khan link That's a departure from the pink, dog emblazoned T-shirts and doodle-boppers we were gonna sport last year at Cleethorpes. You're losing your edge, Sunshine. Very much looking forward to S.O.N. although I ain't getting there till late. Reckon I'll have no records left by the time I arrive!! I once saw Richard DJ as a Gherkin. I had to stop him on the way in to confiscate his bayonet. Poor dyslexic child that he is.
September 1, 200519 yr Can you recommend anybody in Copenghagen, Denmark? * IMO there are better ones if you cross the bridge over to Malmoe . The sexiest ones are situated in Gothenburg though
September 1, 200519 yr New Century are doing a "Young Guns" room Boxing Day in Manchester I think. Now while I am against booking DJs because they are girls, young, OAP, black, white, jappy, transvestite or whatever and DJs should be booked because they are good and not because they are from a minority group. I do think that this night will be a damn good laugh and I'm looking forward to it and if you're interested in the sounds of the yoof, that'll be the place to check it out.
September 1, 200519 yr im potentially the best oldies dj in the country!! people just havent realised it yet!! waiting for all the oldies to retire to get a chance of world domination lol

September 1, 200519 yr If you have the records and yes a wee bit of talent and know how to string a set together then age has sod all to do with it! Breaking into DJ'ing on the scene today is far easier and more open house than it used to be, it was almost a closed shop way back which was bullshit but it happened, believe in your records, believe in yourself and the rest is easy.....well almost. regards - Mark Bicknell.

But I'm not quite as troublesome as I was in my younger years and I think it'll be a good laugh with some great music played, so what the hell, it'll be fun. And if it makes the old folk feel good that they are supporting the 'yoof' while we are secretly taking over 'their scene', slowly eradicating all their tired old washed out oldies and replacing them with our fresh and funky new sounds, than it's a good thing. I think sometimes there is too much thinking about soul and not enough having a laugh adn enjoying it, believe me, I'm the worst for thinking too much about music. I empathis with Stevie, about it being a bit patronising if you think about it too much. But I think Chris is just looking to put on a good night at christmas which should be a bit of a laugh with some good music played, so I don't think it's worth stressing about. Now stop trying to stir up trouble, you bad boy! Oh, and where was you r letter on my desk explaining your absence on Sunday night! Edited September 1, 200519 yr by James Trouble

Although I don't think the way it's going to be presented is ageist though. Pinch of salt and sense of humour and all that. Having a think about the theme, I could have a guess as to who the "Old Timers" room will be made up of, "The Young Guns" are all pretty much present and correct. "Cow Girls" room should be easy enough (if there was one). But I wonder who would be the DJs in a "Varmants and Rustlers" room?!?!?! Edited September 1, 200519 yr by James Trouble
