:hatsoff2: HI ALL DOES ANYONE FOLLOW NOGGERS DAILY PLAY, IF SO??

As i play records every day, often I think when was this last played or has this been played or do you know this, well lets here your recommended record of the day, keep it to just 1 45 and 1 LP.

My LP of the day is MOCKINGBIRD INEZ & CHARLIE FOX - SUE ILP 911 **** Current value about £50+

Great LP club soul class, every track is a winner and will bring the MOD in you to the top, recommended.

45 of the day, most of you will have so play it as son as you can as i still cant do the sound clip thing.

from the pen of BERRY GORDY, MARV JOHNSON - DON'T LEAVE ME - LONDON HL-T9013

1859 THIS WAS RELEASED? And it was one of the 1st SOUL records plus TAMLA,

this is a great record and a must have for any young DJ to play and to learn about the roots of SOUL

value £car boot cheap :shhh: rate *****

 DAVE K

How this one has stayed under the radar for so long is a mystery to me. Ok its motown and its by one of the worlds best know bands but still............ If this is not a perfect cross over dancer ...

  • THE ADMIRATIONS 'Don't leave me'...Together with KEV'S previous posting, got to be two of the greatest 'cheapos' ever! Just spun'em back to back, fantastic stuff!

  • cracking track by Geno (Gino) Washington "I'll Be Around" came out twice on Atac steve https://youtu.be/Z9WvNRiV9Tc

Delwands "No Hope No Faith" and "This Time (I'm Gonna Win)" on Zudan, great double sider for me. Don't think it's in the "book" (yet!) so nice an cheap I'd hope.

prefering this side these days

steve

Used to have one of these, i thought it to be a poor mans shrine record, as it sounds similar....but definately not pollished :(.

No idea at all whether this record has seen much action (Can anybody inform me? ) on the 'funky' side of the 'Rare and Underplayed' rooms, but found it buried deep in a pile last night and it sounds perfect for that side of today's scene...

never get tired of this crossover beauty 15 quids worth of quality

It was played at nighters around the late 80's early 90's. I always enjoy hearing it!

I'm all for a "poor man's" Shrine record,

bought this for the other side , but listen to this at the moment,

Hi Jason

The Bobby Foster track is another top quality posting from you. A real "indie" sound - no overdubs apart possibly from the vocal, great drums, bass, piano and guitar and some studio "bleeding" right at the beginning if you listen on headphones of something which sounds like " what the f**** going on ? I love big productions but these indie releases are what I personally like the most especially the difficult to dance to middle eight. Another one for the mp3 player.

Never noticed that till you spotted it !!! Picked this up some years back from a most unlikely source.Car boot on a Tuesday, along with Four Tops - Reach out,g&w demo.£2 each..Both now gone.

One of my fave girlie groups

The Ikettes - Whatcha Gonna Do.

Eddie Parker & Lorraine Chandler "Love you baby" Blues Gallery Records. Not saying this is better then the original version or not, just i like it. From the album "The old and the new" Eddie dueting with Lorraine, what more do you need

Back to the midtempo stuff for me, picked this up back in 1977 in 'ODDS AND ENDS' record shop in the backstreets of Southampton...It came out of a huge '10p each' cardboard box...Still got it, great record, pure Soul from MIRWOOD...

Twofer day for me today.Another great cheapie that's had plays for both sides.

Chris Calloway - I Don't Need Another Baby Cub

Chris Calloway-You're Something Else Cub

I've been after one of these for a while but I think the 'I dont need another baby' is by far the superior record, lovely tune mate...

The Chris Calloway is the Something Else side......the other side is far too slow to dance to.Okay listening music.Been plugging this one for years.Ive only found 2 good tracks by them This Is The Way I Feel and this one....the others are duffers.Just got a demo of this and cheap as chips again .

Here's their other good record

Hey Rich - I managed to get from a eekbay 30th Oct from a seller in France - and only £18! Great slab of vinyl. Good luck with the hunt.

mines on century city, think this ones the first local release,a great left field dancer

Rich

I bought it quite awhile back for "You're Something Else" but as of late "I Don't Need Another Baby" has become my preferred side.Saying that they are both brill & I'm splitting hairs.

Just had a quick trawl about thinking I'd be able to point in the direction of one easily enough but beside a couple of well overpriced ones on Gemm couldn't track one down?So good hunting

Bloody hell it's nearly a stomper for me these days,I get a right little sweat on to it shuffling about on the dancefloor :D

Cheers

Martyn

Yeah I have seen some overpriced ones..That's why I still dont have one! Cannot understand why WIGGY says that side is too slow to dance to...Same pace as hundreds of records ...Perfect for me and definetly the more 'soulful' of the two...Was in a record shop in New York not long ago and the guy had just sold one for ten dollars the day before I walked in! Thanks for the effort anyway mate.. :hatsoff2: .
