Ive just had a message telling me the same Ian, sad news indeed, another one of the greats passes.

There's nowt on Marvin's own FB page and no news reports.

Yes ..thats what ive just heard as well ... Jimmy lives in Britain now I believe ,but is in the U.S. now and was taken seriously ill.... but has not passed away ..

I Had the honour of meeting Jimmy 42 years ago when he was performing at the casino Wigan pre allniters he was a regular on the soul circuit at the time he was a gentleman besides being a top soul artist 16 years later I had the privilege of having supper with him after a performance at Scott's Wigan he was still the same  God Bless you Jimmy I hope you get well.

lots of people posting on fb jumping the gun...which is both very disconcerting and annoying....can we please have the facts stated clear and precise?

One of the reasons why I don't use Facebook or twitter. 

 

I hope that Jimmy Ruffin makes a full recovery.  We don't need to lose anymore legends.

Ohhh, been a busy day, forgot to post that there is no news to confirm that Jimmy Ruffin has died according to our extensive worldwide IRN news system at the radio station, as everyone above has also confirmed.
