Had the pleasure of playing it last night at the RAFA in Newton Aycliffe

I would gladly take this superb record in any condition. Must be fewer than ten known copies at a guess.

Had it since 1988 with me till the day!!

Strange, I always thought it was "I wont be coming back" or is this an alternate take,or a  misprinted label or even a bootleg!

I don't think it's at all northern, and can't see what all the fuss is about personally?

I agree; don't rate it. It's nowhere near the best on the label. Cautions. Eddie Daye, Cairos, Enjoyables all destroy it on northern criteria. I wonder if you'd see the above comments if it was £5 not £5000! Methinks not!

He's not the best vocalist on it, but overall it just has that aura, especially love that organ... 

Best records on Shrine is Shirley Edwards, Sidney Hall...

I have to agree with Tim regarding the Northern aspect but JD Bryant is one of my favourite mid tempo tracks.

For me, the best on Shrine is   Cavaliers ,   Do what i want . (  may be also the rarest ? )

Realise I'm contributing to off topic discussion but just a shout out for Les Chansonettes- Deeper as a really cool 'Northern' track. What would that command now £1000 - £1200?
