Hi guys sorry to be the bearer of bad news but just heard from Dave Clark that Martin Alspo also known as Mr Click, is in Intensive Care, apparently it started off as pneumonia but he is now having probs with his kidneys and they are draining his lungs. Dave said he is hooked up to all sorts of stuff and he isn't conscious. Janine & Sam are going to visit him tomorrow in hospital, so if anyone would like to do a get well wish here tonight please do and I she can print them off to take, if he isn't awake tomorrow at least he can read them when he does wake up

Hi everyone, just wanted to let you all know that martin has had his operation today and still fighting, as far as i know, things have gone ok, but have been told he's trying to wake up but is at the moment still out of it.

We all know it's still early days at the moment and we all just have to keep praying.

My family yet again want to thank you all for your support and messages and are looking forward to letting martin read them hopefully in the near future, but we are now just taking things one day at a time.

Will get back to you with more information as soon as i know of any,

Dean

Hi Sean,

Thanks for all your concern.

Latest news on Martin , he's still in intensive care although slight improvement but is still very ill will keep you all informed .KTF.

Simon Alsop.

Not sure if I know you Martin (please wear a name badge when you are up and about again) - but hate the thought of anyone being so ill

I'll send you my best wishes for a speedy and full recovery

My thoughts are with you, your friends and your family

Looks like no news is good news

Was mentioned on another list this morning. The report said, he's being weaned of the sedatives and that he's had a trachiotomy.

Keep going Martin

Hi everyone sorry it's been a while, i've been working around the clock. Some good news, Martin is now awake although he can not talk at present he knows who people are and is able to mime words.

Today i've been to see him and he's had his first chance of getting out of bed (with the help of nurses etc) But none the less he's been sitting in the chair only for 10 mins or so. After he was helped back into bed and felt very tired.

I've told him about all the support that's been on here and the amount of people who are concerned for his well-being. Following is a short message personnally from Martin himself...

I would like to say thank you for all of your support to me and my family. I can not thank you all enough Martin.

Well i will be keeping you all updated as soon as i know more.

Thanks again from me and from martin and the rest of my family i hope you all enjoy this good and exciting news.

Me and Janine went to see Martin yesterday. As Dean's photo shows Martin is still hooked up to all sorts; he so desperately wanted to talk to us, but couldnt due to his operation, he is in a stable condition and the way that he squeezed my hand lots of strength there. Early days; hopes and prayers still coming your way Martin. See you soon.

News of Martin this a.m. is that all is going really fine. He is already sitting out of bed (10.00am), most machines gone, all blood tests negative. Hopefully the tracheotomy tube will be out in a couple of days at most - then the floodgates will open !!!!. Yesterday he filled A4 sheet with notes (& instructions!!!), he is managing to write more easily. He stands (holding a frame) for quite a bit while they get him out of bed, to get the strength back in his legs. He can't wait to eat and drink though !!!!!! Thanks very much for all the support and visits he/we are getting. He can have visitors but only 2 at time. Times are 10 am - 9 pm. Thank you all.

Thank you to Billy coming all the way from Norwich to see him today. He still has quite a long way to go, he is still not allowed to eat, though he had a small pot of yoghurt this afto. as a treat. His progress is so phenomenal it is unbelievable. At this rate he will be home before we know it !!!!!!
