  • Good price for Jimmy Church.

  • Terrible? Valadiers is a great example of the early Motown sound. I love it.

Terry Callier - 561£

Tobi Lark - 1416

Darrow Fletcher - 400£

Tangeers - 1516£

Jimmy Church - 566£

Tony Hestor - 267£

Terry Callier and Tony Hestor were bargains.

Tangeers seems a bit high  or is it the JM factor?

It is rarer on an issue but either issue or demo fetching daft money

Totally agree - a great price imho.

Didn't Tim Brown have one up for auction recently and the starting price was £1500 ?
Personally love this tune, but never hear it played out.
Why?  It is a great punchy dancer.
John Weston has spun it in the past for me.

I sold mine for more 10 or 15 years ago.  It’s a great price.

Darrow fletcher is also fantastic but that price crikey !!

Always thought it around the £1k mark. JC was massive for Andy Dyson at Lifeline, whilst not unknown it was rarely played anywhere before then

that said I’m wondering how long these people are gonna hold out, if you buy at the top, no matter what it is, records, playing cards with nude women on them, stamps…you’re gonna loose money… simple economics…

No mention from JM about the Tangeers being rarer on issue, I'm sure he would have used that if true.

I've seen enough to suggest there's nothing in it, but last time I said this in a sales group all hell broke loose.

Sales pitch. And why not he is after all a salesman.

But with a Soul music fan  passion.

Yes I appreciate his wealth of knowledge and time on the scene.  I just don’t warm to things being hyped.  It doesn’t encourage me to want to buy.  It obviously works though.

Tangeers issue is definitely more rarer than demo but that said

same tune and certainly not 50% more value than demo , but what do we know cheque book collectors again

Valadiers very cheap been going for at least twice the price it achieved tonight.......but it's a terrible record! Just for Motown completists.

JC has gone for a £1500 a few times recently and at the same time both on ebay and auctions £500 odd. Even weirder that it is going cheaper on John’s auctions. Really odd one price wise. Doesn’t get enough love imho as it is a fantastic stormer and the playout on it is brilliant. Love it.

Maybe it is just an out of vogue type of sound these days?
