I heard today that John Edwards #, one time Detroit Spinner, passed away yesterday.  For me one of the great underrated singers.   I could have picked many of his tunes, this unreleased, until much later on a Kent compilation, track is a superb slab of soul perfection IMHO.

Yeah he was a fantastic singer, one of the best IMO Love Cold Hearted Woman too, and his (original?) version of How can I go on also fabulous

Sad news.  Sincere condolences to his family and friends.

The 1996 Kent Careful Man compilation is just about my favourite CD, with one great song after another (even Danny Boy at the end). Thank you to John Edwards (and Adrian Croasdell) for bringing this music into my life.

A hard choice, but my favourite is his version of "The Look On Your Face".

Sad news, indeed his albums on Aware and Cotillion are superb.

And a top cd as posted above

Another fine artist gone.

I can only echo the posts above.

Would like to add to his tributes the wonderful unreleased version of the Ashford/Simpson song "I Had A Love"

Thank you for the music Mr Edwards.
