In my top 5 records of all time. Has it all. Great vocal, exciting, vibrant backing track, great to dance to, hard to find, just about one of THE archetypal 45s that define Rare Soul. Fantastic record. Shame the 'players of presssings' have overplayed it over the years and it's now a somewhat blasie sound. Used to travel 100s of miles to hear records like this.

You could always go for the Bobby James version on Karol - nowt much in it to my ears but that was whiskey talkin. Is it pure coincidence that both versions are harder to find than RHS?

Cheers

Pete

Really hard to to say with Grapevines - one week they are expensive, the next week they are cheap. They're usually expensive when you need 2 or 3 to make up a set! I wouldn't ask more than £15 for the Jimmy Burns.

Looking a bit grubby that one Mark, might wanna start looking for a new one!:)

Just not a very good scan Dave lol but if you have a spare mate then that would be good.

That's £2100 more than I paid for the rights to both the Jimmy Burns and Bobby James (including master tapes and a vinyl copy of each)
