  1. Green one is early 70s, there are a couple of white label ones which are even later, one of the white labels is definitely an 80s press. 80s white label, vinyl on this is see through if you hold it up to the light. 70s white label i think from memory the green label is like the one above, but you know, green
  2. yes, a lot of proto soul R&B records got listed in things like Jazz Journal back in the day, definitely an early hint of what was to come.
  3. not sure but i know there is a copy i never ever play sitting here somewhere.
  4. i could do, but posting it from new zealand probably wouldn't be the timeliest solution i could make a soundfile if required....
  5. i still knock the centres out or cut them out with a hand dinker, hate small hole 45s. so for me it doesn't matter if i'm buying one with a missing centre.
  6. i think a lot of those people have already been hit up for records
  7. also you can do this on audacity, just select stereo mix as your recording source & away you go.
  8. Kent maybe just pulled "A. Ashford" off of the Precisions label & assumed it applied to the Stemmons Express track too? Anyone's guess really.
  9. that is the second East Coast promo press, still regarded as an original. and yes to locations and 2nd run alt labels.
  10. yeah, i liked this but could never quite get with the 80s production values on the LP & then this was compounded when I saw him do it live in NO & it absolutely destroyed the LP version, could never listen to it again & threw the LP in the bin the bloody 1980s & their drum/horn/keys sounds have a lot to answer for IMO. and in a round about twist, the Tyrone Davis LP "Can I Change My Mind" has a grip of excellent LP only versions of things on it
  11. there is an older boot of this which just has a black and white label, no gold or red & is on vinyl instead of styrene.
  12. i don't understand what this has to do woth this thread?
  13. I thought United were the only place doing these?
  14. Is that Dusty LP really NZ/OZ only? I wouldn't have guessed that. I had it filed for ages just for that first track pretty much but decided life is too short to worry about one track LPs which are otherwise weak so I just threw it in the bin. John Paul Jones from Led Zep did the arrangements if I remember right?
  15. weird coincidence, was just playing the repop of this about an hour ago, great track.
  16. as a scene based upon 45 culture I would have thought the 45 would trump the LP?
  17. short Matthew Africa tribute at the start of this one https://www.ustream.tv/recorded/25281569
  18. GSF-S1011A-Z-5 1 * (Side-A) GSF-S1011B-Z-5 1 * (Side-B) (in the dead wax, there is a sideways 1 and a "*" also the "Z-5", Are hand scribed and the rest are stamped).
  19. not allowed to accept cash on ebay anymore i thought? as a buyer i wouldn't touch anything without the paypal option, it's just so quick & easy. you will lose customers if you don't accept paypal, unfortunately that's just how it seems to be these days. as Sebastian says, doesn't matter what you state in the description there is no way you can stop a chargeback, paypal will always side with the buyer unless you can provide proof of delivery & even then it is not easy to reverse the chargeback.
  20. ditto, i damn well wish that one had been free, so bad
  21. yeah I've had the album since it came out, like it, not comparing it to LWJ though. I also like The Blasters version but again no comparison.
  22. agreed, post in wants & you should get sorted for 40 pounds easily, actually i would have thought even for 30 pounds you'd be able to get one??
