  1. It has always been in my top 5 and is still as relevant today as it was when released. The first time I ever heard WGO in 71 (aged 12) was whilst looking for a pair of shoes in a branch of Ravels on Oxford St, somewhere in London for those of you from the frozen north (I'm ducking at this point). I refused to leave the shop much to my parents annoyance, until it finished!!
  2. Just managed to spot this chap on the front lawn, whilst reading uninspiring work report, and managed to snap a couple of shots before he was chased off by marauding Magpies!
  3. As good as ever, perfect company whilst working from home.
  4. Thanks this is helpful, though definitely not extensive, checked Chi-lites/Detroit Emeralds (reading top rank) and 4 Tops/Spinners (Ham Odeon) between 73 and 74 and not on there.
  5. Given the traffic on the A303 better make it a weekender.
  6. The first thing I ever heard/bought from them and still my favourite. Before they got cheesy they were seriously funky. R.I.P
  7. Len - its a cracking tune, way over what I would ever pay for anything, tight southerner here!! But If I did it would be one i'd be after. I just have to cheat and stick the CD on now and then. Even more annoyed i'm going on my hols on the 29th, still trying to work out how to escape the first night for a few hours!!!
  8. Does a technican open itself and deliver it to me from the fridge on the sofa when I'm a tad thirsty?
  9. Count me in - clearing space on the soul books shelf in my mind already.
  10. Always liked this. RIP Sharon and thanks for the memories.
  11. The list I would love to see is what everyone's top 50 would be of things you could pick up for £50 or less, ideally all soul based, but doesn't have to be Northern.
  12. Am I the only one that thought the list is too long to be the rarest of the rare!
  13. Definitely worth doing it, have copied all CDs and singles, now working on LPs.
  14. We are booked to go late August, fingers crossed things better by then.
  15. I'm drinking by social distance - ie keep your hands off my bottle!!! Cheating by mainly (especially during the day whilst working) listening to a loop of the Bury Virtual All-Nighter/All-Dayer/user requests sessions. Much better background noise than some of the inane chatter that would have been going on in the workplace!!
  16. A very underrated track. Found on the B side of "Your Wonderful Sweet Sweet Love" or the "Floy Joy" LP.
  17. Only robins, magpies, pigeons and blackbirds round my way
  18. Easy to say/hope it will return asap, harder to put in place; based upon regulations/depending what does/doesn't become law. Then again maybe lawlessness will take over everywhere and Geeselad may be proved to be right.
  19. Hi Mick, That is fine and not much beats a good red!! As I stopped attending club nights ages back I'm just always interested to hear peoples views whichever side of the fence they are in.
  20. And that whole different ball game is still a possibility. It has been interesting how the chat from Govt recently seems to be moving away from talking about the vaccine much. I have even heard 2 of the sage folks talking about the fact there is still no cure for aids. Crossing far too many things hoping that will not be the case.
  21. Hi Mick, I would be interested to know if you think the passion is for the music; having the sound on the original vinyl; the exclusiveness of having it on original vinyl or something else? With regards to knowing the labels, does it matter? Surely the idea of a night out is to enjoy yourself. Regards, Neil
