  5. A very thought provoking thread with, quite diverse views, but from a personal perspective, the whole vinyl thing gives me the buzz, and I will travel distances to listen to vinyl (dependent on certain criteria obviously) but I cannot percieve going to a venue and "looking" at MP3 or similar downloaded formats in micro sales boxes, or travelling distances to hear music in any other format than vinyl......the thought frightens me.....must be an age thing....ah well I'll get my coat and take my ball home....For me it's vinyl or nowt,

It was formerly "Chatbusters" a Motown influenced magazine produced by Rik williams, and was subsequently taken over by (name eludes me at minute) who also produces a Rock mag and initially was looking to merge them, however if you want to look at a copy PM me your details and I'll pop a recent edition in the post to you.
  7. Great track, which as stated is on CD, would love to own a vinyl copy but have only seen one and we're talking Big Bucks
  8. Russ Vickers and the Valiants-Washed Ashore-Bow Street Runners(navy coloured label) (Belated welcome home mate)
  9. Don't be so sure, there's loads of Boots about
  10. Love's gone cold by the Duvet's on Limp, (all time classic) never uncovered !!!

I'm comin' home in the mornin', appropriately as I'm on night shift and am just a bit knackered.....
  12. Whilst appreciating Pete's advice, I also have a "run of the mags" and personally wouldn't part with them..... but ............there aren't that many about, so....what numbers have you got?
  13. Fair do's. looks an interesting compilation, and as a Motown enthusiast, it is great to hear unissued material.I must add that I've only heard a few of the tracks listed, so await it's release with great expectation.......
  14. Could you please indulge the individuals name who initially interviewed you....He/She will be dealt with appropriately
  15. About time Ady......I await to be hooked
  16. It's a fair old dap from the airport to Hitsville, and it would cost you a princely sum, so I wouldn't advise such a trek in the limited time slot
  17. Top Tunes Baz, any more Detroit ditties from the same era you could put up?
  18. I'll relieve you of the O'jays Pete, cheers wilxy

    Get well soon Russ
  20. I've heard some truly great sets over the years, and albeit I haven't been for a while, the 100 club regulars always did the business for continuity of excellent sets, and more recently the Burnley all-niter which for me on every occasion I've attended, I can honestly say I've enjoyed every single set I've heard and without patronising them I applaud both their enthusiasm and ability to put together well thought out sets which are fresh on the ear,(inclusive of all guests included to date) and makes the 6 hour round trip very very worthwhile.........
  21. Once heard "Hit me with your rythm stick" Ian Dury & the Blockheads played at Yate all-nighter by a well known Soul Sourcer DJ, but I'll leave him to own up to it......
  22. Edward Hamilton-Baby Don't You Weep....
