  1. Just added both acetates on 45cat, someone on there may hopefully come up with the answers.
  2. Just want to add, there is a 45 of this by the writer of it, Paul Anka on RCA Victor. Only trouble is it's sung in Italian!
  3. Here's the man....
  4. Wow, took ages to be released in the UK then! That's why I thought it was a recent spin. Cheers.
  5. Here's a traditional 60's Northern dancer, one that's been doing the rounds recently (before lockdown!).. It's from 1966 and only came out in Canada (Quality Records) until last year when it got a release in the UK on 'Moustrap' due to regular plays.
  6. What year is the Dean Parrish? Nice that. Was it released on a 45? EDIT: Found it, Acid Jazz 2021. Thanks.
  7. Johnny Rivers on the writing credits? Not much info here... https://www.45cat.com/record/nc153137us
  8. The Tymes did the same thing, early 60's. At least they advertised the fact! The 45 is in a little pocket on front of the LP.
  9. What about this version then!
  10. Same as Winsford say's, pretty sure the boots are white demo's. No red issue boots?
  11. And here they are....
  12. Personally I like it. It is 'Northern' Soul. Rare, odd, weird and a great back beat. You don't name yourself 'Soul Brother' if you're going to play Jewish Folk or Country, surely. Hey, I respect your views though Soulstrutter, diverse taste is what it's all about 👍 KTF
  13. A bit late in the day I know, but I now have a WAV / MP3 of Rodd Keith 'I'm A Man' (Preview) which I managed to source from an old Northern Soul compilation tape that someone did me in the 1980's (might have been Pete Smith). Quality isn't perfect but there are no sound-files anywhere of this great 45 (imo). 'Like The Lord...' rhythm and oddball lyrics, I wrote them down as you can see here... https://www.45cat.com/record/nc747909us If anyone wants a sound-file pm your e-mail and I'll e-mail you the file.
  14. Great site. I use it a lot.
  15. I'm intrigued myself about this group. BTW: I've got a great version by 'Thee Midniters'.
  16. Yes Mick, I'm Johnnyhotspur.
  17. Here you go Mick, The Chantells were Vicki Skinner & Debbi Newton. This has been confirmed on one of the other youtube clips of the 45 and on 45cat here.... https://www.45cat.com/record/88755
  18. There's also this official re-issue from 2013 that is the same as the first cut...
  19. There's no official 45 but you can get the vocal version on this LP... https://www.discogs.com/Various-Something-Weird-Greatest-Hits/release/12282308
  20. The Vocal is on this LP... And here it is...
  21. Supremes - Love Child Supremes - Where did Our Love Go Supremes - The Happening Martha & vandellas - Honey Love These four please if still available?
  22. Aqua Lads & Chantells, great 45! I have a photo of the Chantells somewhere, from memory 2 white females.
  23. Charlotte O'Hara AKA Charlotte Matheny AKA Bonnie Graham (Preview). Acetate found by Charlotte's daughter Jana O'Hara...
  24. Brings to mind my copy on pink Jo By. Fairly used, got it from the States years ago, but if you look on the B side, you can see another label underneath!!! A red coloured label. It's sort of lifted a bit but I dare not lift it to see what it is!! Weird.... EDIT: I just looked on 45cat and can see the same side as mine with the red label underneath...https://www.45cat.com/record/e500
