When i lived in the UK and went to do's on a regular basis (2/3 a week) it was easy to hear "played out oldies"and complain. Some i remember like:-
The Carstairs, (which sounds a little irreverent these days cos it's not arf bad, Sorry Pete)
Frank Wilson,
Johnny Bragg,
Lou Johnson Unsatisfied,
Sue Lynn Don't Pity Me,
General Assembly, Del Capris (construction) and the like .
We all used to complain, sat down, and waited for something "decent to listen to, Nowliving in the States what i'd give to get a "sniff" of anything like that (but that's another story) What i'd like to know is, is there a general conscensus of "played out oldies". Are there perhaps 20/30 choons that need a rest? So with me being out of the loop, as to what's played on a regular basis, i'd like to see4/5titles from people that have heard enough of a certain choon, (not the one you hate and don't ever want to hear. Just the choons that need to go on "holiday"for a few years!
