According to " The In Crowd " , Peel was asked to front the documentary , and visited clubs for research . Malc The Radio 1 DJ that did the N S insight was Paul Bernett (name-spelling?). I have got the show on CD now, it was on tape. I did it with hand held mike to radio in my mum;s front room. and when the ice cream man goes down the street you can hear it in the backround. Dave. Thank the Lord that you have revealed the name Steve , that it was PAUL BURNETT who fronted the Radio 1 NS documentary : we can all sleep easier at night now PB was one half of " Laurie Lingo & The Dipsticks " - the other half being Dave Lee Travis - who did " Convoy GB " in 1976 .
