paul/matthew, i remember you posting ages ago that your dad was called james wallace - on a jimmy wallace thread.

you keep on posting, mate, it's great to have younger people getting into the music.

as for naff acts, we all start somewhere and every single person on here likes 'naff' records, 'naff acts' and started out knowing absolutely nothing about soul music.

we're all on the same road mate, some people are further down it than others but it's the same road (and every time you think you can see the end you check the sat nav and find you've only just bloody set out)

I have far better things to worry about and plenty of friends. hi paul, i also live in peterborough, about 2 years now, i support all the local venues even though the music policy is very predictable, been djin for a few years n find it very

hard to get to dj at local clubs......because i play original 45s

mathew - since i started this post and made the point about you being charming and a breath of fesh air then it was clear no offence was intended. Sorry i got the Barry White reference wrong. But he remains naff in every sense of the word (and a great soul singer). You can be both in fact many old singers are now very naff and geniuses. Keep on posting I always read you and will always be a big fan of the Wallace clan.

i agree with you baz, as i now live in peterborough and SUPPORT the local scene as much as i can i am getting bored at listening to the same stuff n djs, dont get me wrong there are some great venues, with healthy followings and yes i do love to hear the classics, but as a collector,dj come on promoters lets give some other local djs a chance to play, you never

Yep i know thats not the case, what i was pointing out was the many bit, not every one, you offer summin differnt but the differnce in attendancys (all though Restless is very well attended) it dont get the same amount as somthing more associated with Peterborough, and for them it is the center of the scene, hope i've explained myself a bit better now

Well anyone in Peterborough will you tell you this no matter how much it remains the same we are all happy and enjoy ourself. There are so many who are nice enough you get to know and then as soon as they introduce you to someone else your like one big happy family. Maybe my next trip is Skegness
