At the same session turned down a copy of JD Bryant on Shrine for £45 ... thought it was too slow and was only earning 40 quid a week back then.

It's so true Dan. I started at the Jag when i was 18 in 1984 and was on the same wage as men with families and mortgages but living with my parents and apart from a bit of board no commitments at all. Unfortunately i wasn't interested in collecting, just going out, dancing and taking gear...

Mates of mine were collecting, so why wasn't I? I can't believe i was so shortsighted. If only i'd known then what i know now...

As a single bloke on a good wage why i wasn't i taking record hunting holidays in America? I can't understand what i was thinking...
