I wouldn't have thought it common but does it happen ? Or do some djs borrow other peoples 45s and play those out ?

October 22, 201311 yr When I was out around the UK at A/Nighters DJing each week-end...I was sent records....'anonymously'!!! I kid you not!!x I received the "Four Tracks...Like My Love For You'....and Reconsider...Brenda Holloway...and several Unreleased Motown tracks on white labels.....months before they were 'released'!! Never knew who....but knew why! Fortunately they were super tunes....so they went down well...and where mine! Well nobody has asked for em back yet....20 years later!x @@ ~ LUV SOOTY X Shifty lent me his Edwin Starr once.....it was my birthday and I wanted to spin...and dance too....My Kinda Woman...at Blackburn....on me birthday....and did!x Thanx mate!x @@ ~
October 22, 201311 yr I've never heard of anyone 'renting' records to play in their set in all the years I've DJ'ed. What would be the point I have to ask ?

October 28, 201311 yr Very sad if this is happening. Mind you it's only a small step from playing a boot out to playing someone else's records. Either way you don't actually own the real 45.
October 28, 201311 yr Like Dave Rimmer states, evidence?, I doubt very much that anybody would pay cash to play someone elses records, very sad indeed
October 30, 201311 yr Author Thanks for the input - consensus seems to be nobody has evidence of it ever happening ........

October 30, 201311 yr I can just see it now: "One of only two known copies - currently played by (add list of 50 DJs you know).
October 30, 201311 yr I'm sure many DJ's must lend their records out given the number of them that play Exactly the same set as each other....
