Really pleased that Richard Searling's Cellar Full of Soul show is returning to the airwaves from June 29th. Sundays 4-6 pm. Richard joins the Solar Radio family.

First hour made me rush outside to finish the very interesting book I was reading.

But nice to hear Richards dulcet tones on radio once again

There was a football match to watch {so Mrs Shrews told me} so I missed the 2nd hour.

How was it?

Can we listen "on demand"?

Thanks to everyone who tuned in for my first Solar Radio show on Sunday June 29th — your comments are really appreciated.

It’s now confirmed that in addition to the Sunday afternoon 4 — 6pm slot, the programme will be repeated between  6am-8am on Wednesday mornings on Sky Channel 0129 / www.solarradio.com or via the Solar Radio app on mobile phones / tablets

If you wish to record the show , then this can be achieved ( if you have Sky plus ) by keying in the broadcast times and setting the machine to “series link”.

This coming Sunday July 6th , I will be dedicating the whole of the second hour , “Rare and well done” to the music and life of Bobby Womack.

Excellent show, just what was expected. With Pete Young on jazz fm on Saturday afternoon, the weekends are worth waiting for. Despite no domestic football.

One low point. Did I hear Richard say he was only doing the show for a few months?

Recorded SKY between 6-8 this morning but no Richard Searling Show!. Just a tape of 80's disco & soul with no DJ. What a waste of time. 

Fab show last week , with a great selection of music ... Really looking forward to  Richards Soul Sauce number 2 tomorrow (Sunday afternoon bliss)

I never went to THE PENDULUM (too young) so first hour was interesting for me.  And the info coming out - even in the DJs top 3 - Four Perfections - I had assumed it to be the Steals brothers because their name appears on the writing credits, but was never quite 100% sure……it was confirmed they were in the 4 Perfections when at college on the show. Great songwriters.

 

Phil - It should be repeating on Wednesday mornings 6-8 am, I'll try and find out what's happening there but sometimes it takes a week or two to get the schedule changed. What you heard sounds like a pre programmed selection…..

I no longer give Sky any of my hard earned money Pete so as you say not much use.  An upload to mixcloud as Steve show or Soul Discovery via iTunes etc would be good.

But by 'repeat' it might mean on-line too? Can't comment on mixcloud etc, way above my head, and as for itunes, all my library disappeared with an upgrade apparently and I'm too stupid to follow the instructions on how to get it back

I hope you are right. I missed today's show as well not having SKY+ at my place.  

Got today's show as an MP3 but can't post it on here due to the SS policy on MP3s.  If anybody wants a copy PM me.

I have this and last weeks on the ipod to listen to this week.  As well as these I have four Soul discovery, Ady Pountain's June upload and Steve G's latest sgow.....loads a soul :)

Best three radio shows going for me, listen them all every week, usually on. Play back though as gives me something to listen to whilst driving.
