I think I counted around 50 events on the calendar for tomorrow night, how many of them are charging money to hear tunes played off a laptop or off boots? Soul nights for me regardless if they are old

I also thought JM put it quite well. For me ovo 'encourages' more varied playlists with dj's having to think about a set and I love some of the classic oldies as much as anyone but i want to hear them

Of course as ever with a lot of record dealers spiel there is always the major issue of sales type people trying to tell us all what we should do, but once you get past that elephant, then there is an interesting and quite well put (imo) summary/reasoning of some of the thinking/reasons behind the 'original vinyl only' policy
