Thanks for posting this Mick. I was hoping that you would . Many people will have met the Billy and Jimmy road show for the first time at Lowton.  The two never to be forgotten front men who run the door for you in the old fashioned friendly and firm way with a twinkle in their eyes.

My deepest condolences to Karen,  William, family and close friends.  It was a privilege to be called your friend.  Sleep well and rest in peace

Billy and Jimmy together, were a part of the Lowton Civic 'family', a top bloke who will be missed, R.I.P. Billy

Sad news I was gutted to find out, I knew he had been poorly we would stay in touch via facebook, Last time i saw him was shopping on bury market i gave him a massive hug. I owe alot to Billy mick, he introduced me to some lovely people and took me to some wonderful nighters and dayers early 2000s .

Steve is right, first met Billy at Lowton but used to see him all over the place.

No doubt he'll be working the door of that great nighter in the sky because sadly the attendance is growing..

Condolences to his family.

Hugh x Yvonne

My thoughts  are with Karen & the family

Always Loved

Never Forgotten x

Sad news indeed, first met Billy when he was on the door at Lowton with Jimmy Buff,

It seemed at one time they were on the door of every decent venue.

Sincere condolences to Billy's family.
