What an amazing career ... Stevie Wonder's bassist, then with Miles Davis (who told Stevie backstage "I'm taking your f#¤%ng bass player") before moving on to a solo career that highlighted his wonderful voice.

How very fortunate we were to see him perform on stage at the Blackpool LSW in 2011.

So many great tracks to choose from, but this seems particularly appropriate:

One of my first LP's when I passed my driving test. Sold it and found another in a Paris street market

Rest In Peace Michael and you got my life Goin' Places that I never thought I would go

RIP Michael. This picture was taken in Feb 2014 at the Royal Festival Hall when he guested for the Norman Connors (on drums) gig.

Gutted,    RIP Michael.

Thanks for your Music that we will continue to play and remember you with great affection all over the world

Michael Henderson R.I.P. A wonderful musician. I recall sitting on a Croatian beach a few years back when this came on my headphones. The perfect tune for the moment as I could see a storm coming towards us across the sea.

A great loss.

One of those names that just crops up over and over when I look at my music library.

Love his version of Ask The Lonely from the LP. A great all round talent and another sad passing of great artists.

Kev

Been meaning to post on here - sad news indeed, a truly talented guy with a fabulous voice, very underrated in the overall scheme of things IMO

Don't think anyone has posted this yet - never get tired of it

Agree with others a great talent, and a sad loss to our music.

Have all of his albums other than Sling Shot, which i sadly have seemed to have missed buying.

These tracks are some of my favourites of his output.

Won't you be mine.

Everybody want's to know why.

You're my choice.

In the night time.

And

Come to me.

All essential listening, to these ears.

R.I.P. Michael.
