I agree with SEBASTIAN on the PHYLLIS DILLON version it's nowhere near the quality of BETTYE SWANN version or even the ZZ HILL cover in my honest opinion

Let's not forget Spencer Wiggins recent CD release version from Fame, out on a bit of plastic in a couple of weeks.

My nominated future biggie is the Billy & Clyde 'A World Of My Own' from Fame studios in lil' ole Muscle Shoals Alabam.

As far as rare jamaican releases are concerned, my vote goes to Blues Busters "Ohh Baby" on BMN which was mentioned earlier in this thread. Definitely deserves further spins.

Debonaires on Galaxy have already been quite sucessful on Berlin dancefloors a couple of yeras ago. almost as sucessful as the Roy Roberty on Linco currently is. Both fab 45s with the Linco record being absolutely ace! Bought it blind and never ever did I regret it.

Been playing this in europe for a few years as The Memphians - Mississippi Sunrise C/U, hand about ten of these sold all of them barr one, so clearly someone likes it.

Comes on a tiny Detroit label (MTNA), Bland Allison - I can't get back to you again pt1-2 and is infact Rudy Robinson and his band, the label was owned by Jim Holland of the Holidays. It's part 2, bit of an oddity as pt1 a group ballad sounds nothing like this instrumental.

The other side of Sir Joe - "if you give up your love",spun at Lifeline by Ady Pountain,(or was it Mick H?), had us scratching our heads.Knew the vocals/production - all makes sense now.

not in manships book ,picked it up off chapman records a few months back...described as mod/rnb dancer which it is but its also soulful enough not to be called 'rock n roll shit ' by rnb haters !!

and its loads better than 'lovin time'
