Intro for me, "Breakaway" Steve Karmen with Mr Radcliffe singing.

Soon as i hear the start i gotta dance, and for 2.5 mins im somewhere else.

The best thing about the music we all love is that i dont need to be alcohol induced.

Hi Kev, I was going to make reference to the RE in my above post (battling to the dance floor, first in and last out etc) but held back. How bizarre that you posted shortly afterwards! :thumbsup:

Melba Moore, what a toon!

Good to see you last night mate, what a do.

Rob.

The Intro's - Stop, Look, Listen - worth a mention, but best of the lot - The Magnetics - Lady In Green :thumbsup:

Charades - Key To My Happiness

Hello Rob.

Was a great night mate. You're right about the RE thing, Melba Moore is definately one of the top ones.

yep was good to catch up last night. Are you going to come over to Kettering tomorrow night?

Kev.

A few;

Soul Bros Inc - Pyramid

Magnetics - Lady in green

Soul Joe Clements - Ever ever

Patti & The Emblems - Gonna Love You A Long Long Time

Detroit Prophets - Suspicion (Or whoever they are)

The Monclairs I'm hung up on your love.

THAT BASE! fantastic!!!11111111

at the minute I'm liking 'Some other guy' Richie Barrett (if I've got that right?). Those two notes then - boom, shake the room! (oh dear I sound like Alan Partridge)...

You know what's coming...lol said it before will say it again.....George Blackwell - Can't Lose My Head - Smoke, basically has it all from start to finish...instant Northern.....mmmmmmmmmmmm

Sam Williams also does it for me.....yummy!

Regards - Mark Bicknell.

Four Sonics - Easier Said Than Done, one of my all time fav intros and top atmospheric toon. Usually gets a spin in my set when I'm DJing. Another goodie Rotations - I Can't Find Her.

Colin.

The Mello Souls - We can make it - Mello. Not only has it a great intro but then crash bang wallop into one of the best Northern Soul records of all time.

I must agree with a couple of others...Landslide has a fantastic intro but i also love the start to Sweeter Than The Day Before, The Valentinos..............Ooooooooooooooooooaaaaargh

Four Below Zero for me.

Surely one of the most memorable intros ever!

Del-Larks - "Job Opening" (Queen City)

others include;

Frank Beverly & Butlers - "If That's What You Wanted" (Sassy/Gamble)

Salvadores - "Stick By Me Baby" (Wise World)

Freddie Chavez - "They'll Never Know Why" (Look)

...etc. etc.

There's tons & tons to choose from but I'll go for Jimmy Frazier - Of hopes & dreams & tombstones (only 5 second intro but it gets me on the floor in a instant) then something of a longer intro, Youngblood Smith - You can split. I reckon the O'Jays have had more memorable intro's than most but I'll stick with the two I've mentioned - Happy Easter Ade
