When I left the old country in 1987 "Jumping at the GoGo", "The Soul File" Liberty & Imperial, "Capitol Soul Casino" Capitol releases and The first Grapevine LP with the Motown map with Wigan on it were the things I pined for most. Took me 10 years to get back and get them home to the US with me, they were the first thing I put on my Computer from my USB record player.

Now they are on my Ipod, what a journey huh!

You can't give the Big Boris record away nowadays. Someone mentioned the Liberty Soul File album (Sold On Soul)- I still think this is probably the best compilation album ever released, very intelligently put together with all og the bestdancers from UA/Liberty/Minit/Imperial and an introduction to "The Drifter" for many. Remember buying this in about 1986 from a shop in town and when I got it home, pulled the inner sleeve out and it had my name and address on it, it was my old copy!

One of the worst comps or most disappointing was the Levine compiled one for Pye - full of 2nd rate Mecca tunes like Curtis Blandon :P

Must be the most recognisable Record sleeve in the history of NS.....

........ and after seeing it again I can't stop singing 'Jumping at the Go-Go' to myself!!! :P

A friend of mine...... she has just had The 2 dancers tattooed on the back of her legs, looks really good!!!
