  1. Different songs aren't they with different writers? There was a similar girl group song that also came out on Stallion. Can't remember the name at the moment
  2. pm sent
  3. Parisians -The cockroach? Flip of Twinkle Little Star
  4. It's one of those where I'd like to hear the instrumental as there seems too many words for the available notes and hence doesn't quite work for me. Never played it out and don't remember hearing it out. Think the group are not the same as the Voices on Penny. Seem to remember they're from L.A.
  5. Great memories of Blue Skies and elsewhere. R.I.P. mate Andy
  6. If you go to Flynny's website there's a page with pressing plant info, which may help. https://www.anorakscorner.com/PressingPlantInfo.html Andy
  7. Not to forget the awesome flip - What You're Doing To Me
  8. It was on the first CSC Anniversary tape around 2000/2001 so not necessarily just Huddersfield.
  9. Whispers website states their's was the first version.
  10. Mia Lewis - This Is The End (Decca) Awesome beat ballad though it did come out in the states on Parrot
  11. I remember Stuart playing this a number of times at the Brighton Alldayers. Evertime I would rush up the stairs to ask him what it was. The reply was 'You asked about this last time!!' Brilliant tune
  12. Puer Oh Puer Oh Puer For the classically trained among us
  13. as the brother sister of exotic dancer / singer / actress Lola Falana (their father was Cuban by birth). Thank God for that, I thought my hearing must be totally shot otherwise
  14. I manged to end up in the corner everytime and I wasn't even showing off
  15. So the BoRo release would have come out late '67 ?
  16. Certainly came out on a Kent LP in the eighties. Not sure about on a 45 though.
  17. Worst: Downstairs at one of the Brighton Alldayers, when the decks didnt have proper centres, but those click in plastic jobs. The decks also didn't have much in the way of lighting and half way through the set instead of clipping into the record the centre flicked out never to be seen again the rest of the set was interesting. Bizarre: The night at These Old Shoes when one deck packed up and Jo kept up the patter whilst Martin or myself got the next record sorted. Her introduction for Little Charles and the Sidewinders on Decca was priceless, 'This ones got a pink label'
  18. Thought it appeared on those 80's White Label jobs with Lonely Lover
  19. Old fair enough Steve, but I need a dictionary to see whether laggard applies.
  20. I thought, though could well be wrong, that this was a Stafford spin so a boot that early would seem unlikely.
  21. I was having a look at the latest additions on John Manships's auction and was a bit startled to see Irene & the Scotts on Smash in there. There was also a Soul City on Goodtime . Now I know it's a while back when I got these, but they weren't incredibly expensive (less than £100). Have all the copies disappeared into collections or are they both 'in-demand'? Not having a pop, but a bit suprised to see them listed that's all.
  22. I'd heard about the jumping copies, though like yours mine's fine.
  23. Gary Sole £600 ish? Is that what it's going for these days?
  24. Babies - Hand Of Fate Halos - Just Keep On Loving Me Crampton Sisters on DCP title eludes me
  25. I remember introducing the Cooperates at SITC as the Co-operates not deliberately as it happens to general hilarity. Could have sworn there was a hyphen in there.
