Any Soul Sourcers got any information about this fabulous writer/producer/arranger? Worked with Marlena Shaw and the Main Ingredient in the 70's to name but two, but I also believe he was involved with some rare/northern 60's as Norbert deCoteaux? Asking this partly as a favour for a non Soul Source friend, who asked Marlena Shaw about him at the Jazz Cafe a couple of years ago. Unfortunately she could only tell him how to pronounce deCoteaux correctly! Thanks in advance Paul Woosnam- News: Wigan Casino May 1980 Review

Don't think the lyrics are very PC(politicaly correct) but I think they're great too, mate! Don't think it's too exspensive either. Cheers Paul Woosnam- Flim Characters With Soul Names
Yes Syd.I think I sat next to you in the cinema in Spend a Penny Lane during their "crappy carsey Cannes " week in 1982. Didn't Lew play quite a decorative role, while Lou's was more functional? Cheers Paco- Signatures On Records

Steve, In the same Black Echoes with the ad for the Oak modern soul night(14-3-81) there's an ad for an all-nighter at Brum Locarno featuring northern, funk and upstairs "Soul Sam's 70's Scene" supported by Arthur Fenn. Seems strange to me that if Sam coined the phrase then why not to use it ? While the Shrewsbury collective were! Cheers Paul- Any Info Please
No mention in the "soul harmony singles " book so that generally means a rare one. Happy hunting! Sound's wonderful Cheers Paul Woosnam - Bert Decoteaux
