Our 1st visit and it won't be the last.

Gorgeous club, just friendly from the get go, it felt like those mod parties of my youth -the sort that you were very privileged to get invited to, intimate with beautiful touches, we loved it.

Absolutely fantastic sound quality from what was very clear to me, a well thought out set up by people who genuinely care about what people hear - as one whose spent years getting their own venues sound absolutely spot on I take off my hat to who set this lot up -rich, bassy and with crystal clear acoustics, a work of art in audio.

As for the DJs- every single one played their hearts out with absolutely banging tunes all night, the floor was busy throughout -and I do mean every single tune played!

Show me another club that can boast that!

We knew from old that Taz would play a blinder and he didn't disappoint, I think he even played something I can afford to buy! But guests & residents alike were on top form.

Our first visit as we were in the area anyway, but it's a full & hard 3 and a half hours drive otherwise, so we're planning our next trip for the not too distant future!

A dancers club, a record collectors club, even an audio equipment fanatics club -above all A SOUL CLUB, I'd say this really is a 'must do', without the remotest fear of argument.

Response from the promoter:

Wow - thanks so much for your complimentary review on behalf of the Ashton Team, it means so much to the guys who work so hard behind the scenes to deliver the event. However, mostly we're just made up that you came along and had a great experience 🙏

Fantastic Club rammed out from the get go, both residents and guest DJs brought their A game to the table which blended so well all night there was something played for everyone from the classic to rare to obscure whatever floated your boat it achieved just that. ✔️
I really appreciated playing my music to a receptive crowd thank you all and lovely to see so many friends old and new enjoying themselves. ✔️
If you have not been to this club you are seriously missing out.🎶🔥💣🧨

Big thanks to all involved Chris Mick and Simon and their crew thank you from me and can’t wait to return here 👏👏

The Taz man had a blast 💥🙏🤝👍

WOW,WOW,WOW Ashton Ukrainian club hit the ground running into the new year!!

Amazing response once again and some more new attendees as the word for this great club spreads nationwide, to consider one of our regulars Kevin Kent travels all the way from Gillingham on a regular basis, high praise indeed!!

Nearly every table was taken before 7.30pm!! Phil Dunn played a great opening set, mixing some R+B flavors mixed in with some great forgotten oldies!! Next up Dolly, who I believe was extremely nervous for her debut set, well the first record and a full dance floor put that to the sword, a really great and varied set!!

Pete Hollander followed with a really cultured and well structured set mixing Motown faves, 70s and some blinding mid tempo, take a bow sir and a welcome return behind the decks!!

John Hillel played some monster rare soul sides and some classy crossover/70s Mixed Feelings "sha la la" hit the spot for me personally!!

Kieron Taz Robathan rocked da house mixing in classic rare soul like John Wesley and Calvin Grayson, mixed in with some Funky Edge bangers, monumental set mate, many thanks!!

Finishing the night in fine style Chris Churm AKA The Churminator lol, full dance floor to the strains of the last record Mr Golden Voice Roy Hamilton "the panic is on" sent the dancers into "soul heaven" a rousing round of applause and rightly so!!

It was great to catch up with old friends, Lowton mainstay Paul Baldwin, Tsop Manchester Gis Southworth (who promised to tell me the origins of that name) Ted Massey was back in the building, great to see you mate,Derek Pearson, Big Mick,Gibby Gibby,Debbie Troops,Debbie Carty and so many more.

Anniversary time next month, we welcome back Andy Dyson, Hoss, Allan Coney and team Ukrainian "Fixer" Simon Ingham.

Keep your eye on event listings on Facebook and Soul-Source for more details as we near the date!!

Once again many thanks to The Ashton Faithful, we couldn't do it with out you!! .
