Ok I posted a "wants" up for this a few weeks ago. From memory of seeing copies sold on lists over the last couple of years and after doing some checking on popsike etc, I reckoned I'd be paying 250 - 300 quid depending on condition.
I got an offer of a minter at 600 quid and so I (politely) asked if the person was confusing pounds with dollars, or were they taking the pi$$.
The person replied with some umbrage, basically telling me that this record recently sold for over 500 quid, they'd been on the scene for 40yrs (so have I !), they were "big collectors" (so am I, I think ), and that their mates, also 40yrs on the scene, had confirmed that it was me who was taking the piss by offering 250 quid.
I'd be interested to hear comments from anybody who's bought or sold one in last few months, or from any dealers on what they would list this at ?
I'd say 250 - 300 tops. Some of these folk would do well to take a sales box out n about over here and see what you're gonna get for undeniably good but reasonably common records.
