I guess Daryl Hall's originally unreleased version of "Girl, Don't Make Me Wait" would qualify.

Not strictly 'Northern' but here's a beautiful slice of Philly Crossover I've raved about forever!

Was Daryll Hohl (Hall) in the Temptones a few yrs before he teamed up with John Oates? 

 

On a side note, "live at Daryl's house" is fine viewing , some quality jams goin on there!
