Haha ... been there myself Steve ...

Dynamic Superiors - Leave It Alone (Motown) 45 ... the promo (same both sides) is a stunning cheapie ($20) 3:19

Dynamic Superiors - The Dynamic Superiors (Motown) LP ... also contains the track ... slightly extended ... !

It's the powerful ending of the song that gets me everytime.

Therefore, the LP is worth hunting too ... it also contains Soon ... a nice dancer ...

Plus, of course the v. popular songs Don't Send Nobody Else / One-Nighter ... thumbsup.gif

Best, Shaun.

PS: Don't forget, Laurence Prangell (Soul Brother Records) will be sitting in for us this Sunday (5th August 2007) ...

Well folks, we finally made it home after a wild weekend in London......

Firstly, thanks to Shaun for giving me the opportunity to play some of my favourite records on what must be one of the best radio shows - it was a real pleasure Shaun!

Thanks also to all of you for your kind comments - I have been overwhelmed by the response and the calls to the studio.

I'm pleased that so many liked the selections - as I said so many times to those who phoned in, I just brought a bunch of records we like and, in fact, probably could have gone on for another 3 hours!

Special thanks to those who stood in and did the recording thing - here are download links on megaupload

It goes without sayin' it woz an absolute pleasure having Ivor in the Solar Lounge today ... Ivor's one of our scene's most respected jocks & proved it yet again today by playing a wonderful 'Sunday Soul Selection' ...

A mixture of 70s/80s Modern room dancefloor delights ... & some sublime mid-pacers. I kept changing my mind after every record to which was my personal fav' ... the 'lady' track towards the end of the show was definitely one of them ... I really enjoyed Ivor's company today & definitely hope to have a Part 2 sometime in the future ...

Every week it's an awesome play list and this week is double boss!

I was digging a trench this morning, like you do, and nearly fell in it when I heard Silver, Platinum and Gold. I love this record and have never heard it anywhere out, fantastico.

Also had to have a good think about the Jack Sass band, have'nt heard that since the mid 80s a real memory jerker and sounding so good.

Great stuff Ivor and another load of "wants" thanks mate.

Also Shaun, a big thank you for posting up the playlist every week. It is appreciated as I have the usual weekly power struggle with my four year old screamer for control of the telly and don't always win.

Shaun,

I have never posted comments about your show before but my other half

has been pestering me all afternoon to post a comment about todays show , it was so good we have listened to it twice.

We have listened to and recorded your show now for the last 18 months and have always enjoyed the quality both from yourself and your excellent guests.

Todays show with Ivor Jones was exceptionally good with lots of stuff we have never heard before plus a few of our faves.

Just one downside, due to dancing around the living room to Ace Spectrum and Aristocrats she burnt the Yorkshire Puddings, never mind small price to pay.

Keep up the good work , looking forward to Steve Plumbs contribution , always does the business whenever we have seen him (superb at Yarmouth).

A big thank you as well to Zane for the downloads each week , brilliant !!!!!!!! cheers mate.

I agree with all the previous posts, fantastic show. Well done Ivor and keep up the good work Shaun.

It was the first time i've heard the Jack Sass Band, sounds to me that it's a reworking of the Blood Hollins feat Jean Lang track on RCA called 'How Have You Been'. Recommended if you don't know it.

Looking forward to future shows, great stuff.
