Have you given your pets soulie type names?

I had a cockatiel named 'otis' and my sisters dog is called ' keele'

I reckon that there are lots of us that have given our pets names related to soul

There must be a fish called wigan.

Sure we've done this before but it might have been a while ago.

No pets with soulie name. I did have a cat named Stokely Catmichael.

Just a baby conceived at a weekender in Sept... But I don't think he's getting a soulie pet name yet.

I don't know how true it was, but years ago I heard that Richard Searling had a cat called Mirwood. When I got married & got a cat, I copied. It was a white demo as well.

Not a pet, But my oldest son is called Lee David. MY wife protested so I said how about Otis Levi. Lee david it was .

His sister was originally called Aretha but was hastily renamed as Le Jazz Baby because her miaow just didn't have Ms Franklin's timbre - it was more Amy Winehouse after hitting the Absinthe.

My English Springer Spaniel is called Oscar - in honour of Oscar Perry.

This is our British shorthair "Scooter" He's a bit of a mod and loves a late night ride with Sidney Barnes (Ginger Tom) from round the corner even though he's got no nuts.

Marvin's Kennel pedigree name is "scrouge'n'eat".....he's a Labrador who might well get renamed "Big Daddy" (Rodgers)...

After we had to get our last cat (called Spider aka Spiddy) put down we went to our local rescue centre to chose another asap. Understandably most of the cats in there were nervous, withdrawn and frightened, virtually all of them backed away from us apart from one. This dusty blonde ginger tom stomped up to the door saying choose me choose me, trouble was he still had his conkers and sprayed everywhere and it stunk. Perhaps that's why he was still there? But Miranda went back on the Friday night and picked him up whilst I went to the Wilton allnighter. I rang home at midnight to find her watching the tele with the cat sat on her shoulder and our dog Meg sat next to her on the floor.

Knowing that one of Miranda's favourite singers is Marvin Gaye I am positive to this day that I suggested calling the cat Marvin but Miranda still claims she thought of it. Anyway along the way his name got shortened to Marvo and his conkers went in the bin.

two cats one called jazz the other edwin as in star..reason being we got him at the time of edwins death,so thought it would be nice tribute.as we new is partner,think she was quite touched.

Used to have a black cat called Mojo, got him from the animal shelter some years back, a supposed witches cat with five toes( or claws seriously) lovely thing, seems tho' must have got mixed up somehow with the ex, as it turned out....and I kid you not

My rabbit (that popped her clogs as we were busy having our January night) was called Angelina after my alltime fave song by Stewart Ames.

My whippet is called Rene - some mates think after Lil & Rene ..... Oh no!!!! Slightly off topic she's named after the Small Faces song Rene, all about a Geordie tart in London - oops, divent tell the locals!

Actually don't tell the dog either, she's the only friend I've got!

I had three goldfish called 'Dave'. It saved getting them mixed up.

On a non-pet level, I nearly went for this house before settling for another one.

I was gutted in all honesty, but head ruled heart on this occasion. it's still up for sale if anyone wants it!
