Was played on the rare funk Scene in the early 80s so probably more copies around in collections unknown.

Also its listed in the soul harmony singles publication so known amongst USA collectors also.

If there is one record that I've sold that I would buy back if I could it would be Elipsis. But only for the reason that Soul Sam wouldn't be able to play it any more So for that, I appologise.

Great record though. Just a bit, well, over played.

Wrighty got mine a few years ago...I'd only had it about 4 months when he bullied it out of us.

I found out that several 'big names' had passed it up at Yarmouth 6 months before I got it as it was pretty much an 'unknown' at that time (think Keb had been playing it a few months). Every man and his vinyl carving mate's got one now, haven't they?

This record is not listed in the soul harmony singles book, and it SHOULDN'T BE because there is no harmony on it, it's one guy singing.

Giger Taylor played it in Valencia last month.

If you ever went out you'd hear it played so many times you'd think there was 100 copies!

There must be at least 6, maybe 8 copies on the UK northern soul scene alone? So 20 copies world wide seems conservative?

Prestatyn this year, certain DJs seemed to get into a pissing contest playing it one after another. 3 or 4 DJs in a row playing it. Seemed like "It's mine", "NO, it's mine!", "Damn you, I've just paid £3k for it, I'll play it as well", "I had it first, I don't care if three guys have played it before me!"

WTF!

Err probably to make money and give people a chance to play it at home the naughty devils.

The Reissue is NOT a bootleg and quite a bit of work went into sorting it out due the the age of the people involved. ALL the records on Soul Spectrum Records are Licenced. The reason we reissued it? great club record , very few copies and huge demand. We have sold them all apart from what we have left on our own site so obviously there was a reason to reissue it.

Because the Gasher had it as his Ring tone and it drove me bloody crazy! Dont know what his ring tone is now but I can guess its either the Limelights or the NU-Rons. or it soon will be!

Mind you he must be fed up of hearing my ring tone - Jeanette White - Music

Im openly calling for james to be banned for knowingly posting that master it was not a mistake he was refusing to take it down untill gerald called him to let him know what the next stage would be if he did not do so. We work hard to do things the right way and for him to post this is not only illegal but a total disregard for artist / copyright holder and our hard work sorting it all out.

Motherfunk took three months to pay for a £400 pound record which I let him have on trust because he doesn't have much money and I felt sorry for him. He eventually paid me almost all the balance, and has now done a paypal charge back, taking the cash back out of my paypal, which are ticket sales from Soul Revolution as it happens.

Of course, there is no protection against theft like this. Paypal gives scum like Motherfunk the power to steal with no come back.

What is this all about- If Motherfunk owns the rights then he is a fool for giving anyone the master unleess he has in writing that the person who he gave it to must not divulge the content to a wide audience other than personal listening eg Him & His mates!

If Motherfunk doesnt own the rights then its got nothing to do with him and is just sour grapes.
