Rugby Soul Club 475 Posted November 18, 2017 (edited) We fought having to do this but from next year we will be putting up our door tax by £1. The council are having a laugh at what they charge us and we just about break even, even though the numbers in are good. The higher numbers also mean we have to put on another door person. I know we love doing this but I'm sure no one would expect us to do this for nothing. We hope you will support us in this move we are forced to make. Lucky One 117 Posted February 7, 2018 We will be calling in on our way back from a day in London to see our son, would be a waste to pass this great allnighter on the motorway and not call in for a few hours at least. 2 Link to comment

Rugby Soul Club 475 Posted February 13, 2018 Well, here goes... We are now 15, how very grown up :-) When we started, we'd always said how cool it would be if we managed 10 years...never did we imagine we'd get this far and to see people on Saturday who have been with us since the beginning, was an amazing feeling. My health wasn't at it's best last year, even to the point of thinking that I may have to give up my lovely niter but a bit of being sensible (I know) and implementing a few changes (asking for help :-D), things seem to be ok again. I do need to do a check list for on the night tho as I had to be told halfway thru the night that the heating was on...sorry everyone who was cooking in the main room. Some of us were freezing in the foyer :-D I also forgot to turn the bar speakers on so the DJs in the bar would know what was being played and ensuring no double plays...sorry Dave Rimmer :-D We did think that numbers wouldn't be bad with being the only niter on and also being our birthday but my goodness, you lot did us proud. Unfortunately with it being so busy, I got one dance and the whole night was over far too quickly...it is all about me you know :-D So, our thanks go out to...the DJs, the dancers, the travellers (my goodness, how many different countries this time - Sweden, Germany, Ireland, Guernsey, France. That I knew of), the stalwarts who have been with us on our journey, the newbies who are giving us a chance. Long may it continue and here's to another 15 years ;-) Our next allniter is Sat 14th April and also Tom Page's 21st. Keep the date in your diary xx 2 Link to comment
