Yeah I probably wrote it 

I wrote this piece on the top 50 or so UK Northern records in my own fanzine, a couple of months later, it appeared in Record Collector - with someone else's name on it as author!

Naturally I did my nut and ended up writing quite a few pieces for them in the end (UK soul, rare Motown, Grapevine etc) and doing their price guide for 4 or 5 years.
