Hi Folks, Sorry it's a bit late!!

I think I'll make this the last one. The reasons being that the way the website seems to work, some of the completed items disappear very quickly and will get missed. Also, as John is now a member, he will be in a better position to post the full results. Finally, my work pattern will change in the new year making it less likely I'll be around at the time the auction finishes and so I'll not be in a position to play "Hide and Seek" with the results.

 

Thanks to all that have viewed the threads and also those who have chipped in with comments. Very often the auction of certain records flushes out useful bits of information which I always enjoy reading.

Thanks for posting Kev and good on you for carrying the torch... I enjoy this feature as do plenty of others, but lack the skills to put it together so slickly.

A mixed bag for John here with some set-sale items getting in the way. Plenty selling for the going rate rather than premium prices -  maybe Christmas has brought some high rollers to their senses.

I like the Manship Mints strategy towards the end of the year - come on John, tell us where you find these beauties...

With the current prices people are paying and some sellers being economical with the truth can we expect to see it on EBay after a meeting with a tube of superglue stated as "with slight crack but plays fine"

Most of them are overpriced to the point of hilarity.  Chris Jackson £100+, I've listed one TWICE for £25 and got no takers.

If it is a known OVO venue it would still be an offence, even if you have the original in your box. The promoter invites the DJ there on the assumption they will play OVO.

Regarding the Don Gardner. I wonder if we will see someone smash up one of those reissues that came out, frame it then stick it on eBay.

Did anyone get the final prices of the two RCA  white demos. At 6pm they were £622 for the Susan Barrett - what's it gonna be, and £350ish for Lorraine Chandler - I can't change.

Totally agree gogs.... along with a few others namely Chris Jackson and The Volcanos, there are copies in abundance out of these tunes yet they are being auctioned off?! Why is that?! I mean JM might be selling on for collectors but they are hardly rare or presumed to be of 'auction' value surely?! Very bizarre and screwed up if you ask me, especially the end prices of what they sold for....sorry but IMHO no rhyme or reason to it...
