Mike
thanks for passing on Russ It's great to see that Bob's aka @boba legacy lives on and also great that the donation fund that many of us soul source members donated to may have played a part in helping all this to happen thanks mike Link to comment Social source share

Seano
Wonderful. I suspect that a route like this would be a great option for many other exceptional collections if the collector had never wanted to split and sell the individual items. Goldsoul
He was a tremendous contact. Both he and Robert Pruter were instrumental in helping SoultripUSA Chicago 2009 be a great success. God bless Bob! 1 Link to comment Social source share
Boro Boy
Excellent news. His radio show archive is superb to listen to. Link to comment Social source share
David Meikle
https://www.sittinginthepark.com/shows.htm Tragic story. Listen to the show and hear the voice of someone who absolutely respected ‘our’ music. Great gesture by the family. Link to comment Social source share
Guest
It's a nice gesture to donate all these rare original records to the College, but I would think that the records will get scratched and damaged. Young people who are not used to handling records and don't own them, might not treat them with the respect they deserve! Some of these records are very rare and nearly irreplaceable! Much better that they are put on the market, then whoever buys them will look after them! Link to comment Social source share

And that is in home collections. Not in museums or libraries. So even for BobA legacy, to make a comprehensive like documentary with all his radio shows on DVD or so, funded with the sales of his record collections, should be something much more eloquent. But who am I to judge... Link to comment Social source share
Soul Shrews
This from the link, from the college, in the 1st post The collection is expected to be available on a special request basis starting in January 2019, with additional access provided as inventorying proceeds. So maybe the records won"t just be "loaned out" ? Lets hope so ! Cneers Paul Link to comment Social source share
