Trying to publicly unmask someone who chooses to hide their identity is neither wise nor ethical. It likely also contravenes data protection laws. Can I suggest you let the mystery remain.

  • Does it really matter who he is? And if he owns all the records he posts vids of?

Comment on Brico youtube channel posting

"I know Calvin, my Lowton friend, this dude has a phenomenal collection, we are blessed by his youtube presence!!"

If that's Hesketh Meadow Lane Lowton? It was a fabulous venue across the board a room for every taste. Saw my legend there singing "You Just Cant Walk Away" what a night. Dont remember Brico tho but then again I wouldnt would I ?

In the late 1996 t’s. The CD’s that came out by Tim Brown & Martin Kopell, they made reference to the Millionaire who won on the lottery  (without any names)  and issued the two CD’s. If you have “Millionaires Only” Vol1 inside the sleeve they reference the lottery. (part his"Nick Name"  & the other his "Surname") DSC_0058.thumb.JPG.f8661cd7657aba1399d6f123df6d4b51.JPG

but i think tim brown who was/is part of the set up owned all the 45s at the time

the channel owner shortened his name to brico now

I use his site a lot, personally I don’t think he owns the records, simply because of the sound files used, and the label images, for example he has the prophets-one gold piece-shrine on the site, but the image is from the internet, and more importantly the sound file is the 80’s mix off the Horace lp and not the 45,i could point out many more examples, however good on him for providing a cool channel with many interesting sounds on there!

My thoughts exactly,he just down loads stuff from the net.I doubt he owns anything.

Agree with dobber and wheelsville if he owned all those records people would know who he was and vouch for him.

anybody can compile a YouTube r channel of super rare records without owning them

Just a simple question to you guys: Is it really important to know who is behind that YT channel? If yes, please justify why. If not, please move on.

Again. He never claimed to own all the records he posted on YT, did he? Then why bother trying to "unmask" him?

thought his name/id was posted a couple of years ago above

I'd say the recent discussion is more about his youtube posts than id yep?

I agree. He doesn't use a uniform process for from where the recordings and label photos are taken, and doesn't seem to know as much about each record as he would IF he had possession of the original records (e.g. he's also taking information about the various records from various sources (sometimes not having access to a sharp, readable scan of the original record label). If they were all in his collection, he'd either be taking them all from a uniform quality digital copy he'd made earlier, or directly recording them off playing them on a turntable, and then digitising those recordings.

Albert Brico

Is he the same guy as Gasmaskheadhunter as Albert Brico has a lot of photos wearing a gas mask ? It’s a theory anyway ….

Definitely doesn’t own the records as at one time he had 3 records on there that I recognised as being mine , and I had them for some time, Walter and the admirations was mine it .had felt pen on the label I no longer own it, I sold it on earlier this year bloke that I sold it too definitely isn’t him 😄 but I think he does a good service so I’m not complaining

I always assumed headhunter was a Chelsea reference from a collector who did own the records as he has added a few comments and stories about where and when he got some titles.

Don’t think brico has the records might have some but I doubt all.
