Chi-Lites - Try My Side Of Love has had plenty of plays in modern soul sets. Eugene Record was a great singer and one of the best writer / arrangers around.

Changing for you (1983) was a popular spin for a while in modern rooms and on the jazz funk scene in its later years

Album track only I think, but would have thought their version of Gerald Sims - Bet You'll Never Be Sorry would have featured in 70's/ modern rooms.

Go away dream becoming popular in the side rooms and Sunday soul of late

Good shout Dave, pushed by the re-issue 7'' in Japan last year.

I was actually playing some uptempo early eightees material from them the other evening, and forgot how good 'love love love' was, came on the flip to 'Fan the fire'. It made me think just how inept much of this eightees boogie new release soundalike shite that's getting ramed down our throats actually is. Some folks need to remember how good some of the soulfull end of what was new release club music actually was.

Absolutly Love 'Living in the Footsteps of another Man' one of my favorites by them.  Tony Drake co wrote this under his real name of Samuel Garner...and recorded his version...

'I'm so Jealous', 'Love uprising' are two more classics and this version of Cornelius Bros and Sister Rose... only came out on 45 in Brazil.

What do I wish for. Must have been popular a few years ago as it was featured on adverts for one of the fast food outlets mc donalds/KFC or suchlike

Played this out after times in the last ten years, always goes down well, the origin of 'that' sample, so it's instantly recognisable.
