Blue Sharks 'These Things Will Keep Me Loving You' (Grand Prix/M-) Italy/1960s £500

Very rare, Italian-only Northern Soul. Once given away as a freebie promo by the Italian supermarket chain U.P.I.M Inc. A copy went on eBay last month for £700. Comped on a couple of Northern Soul CDs recently and now starting to crop up on Want Lists - just mega-rare...beautiful WDJ copy here too - a very rare 45...check the clip below:

PM me or email me directly on mail@resolutionrecords.co.uk for more details - ok?

Cheers...MRez

TOO RIGHT pretty rubbish to my ears too..very nine times out of ten!!!!!

Can't tell who your replying to. If it's my comment, well I am real and I said it's a nice version - not better. I just think it's a nice version and the fact that it's rare is a bonus. It'd still be a nice version if it was a tenner. Are you seriously saying it sounds like Muriel Day though? :wicked:

Ignore them Mark, it's a great version. Any chance of a scan please?

Godz

...my back is broad...can't scan the label lads - my house is upside-down for the moment due to buliding work - if anybody wants to have a closer look, I'll have it in my sales box @ Soul Revolution tmrw tho?

Nice to have caused a bit of friendly debate tho...

Agreed Ken.

What on earth is it about this record that's causing people to be rude to strangers, use "angry face" emoticons and so on?

Strange.

Godz

Yep all quite odd ? Nice little version

WHATS BAD ABOUT THE RECORD ? VOCALS? ORCHESTRATION? PRODUCTION? NOT ORIGINAL VERSION?

THERE OFTEN SEEMS TO BE SOME CONFUSION IN DIFFERENTIATING BETWEEN GOOD OR BAD WHEN WHAT IS REALLY MEANT IS LIKE/DISLIKE/NOT TO MY TASTE ETC

I LIKE BOTH VERSIONS

ALSO THINK ITS IN BAD FORM TO RUBBISH A RECORD THAT A FELLOW SOURCER HAS UP FOR SALE-- WOULD HAVE BEEN ACCEPTABLE IN THE LOOK AT YOUR BOX FORUM

SO THERE

I remember when this was first played and not a bad version at all......Its a very special record that can out-do an orginal cut on anything in my view..

I prefer the Velvelettes but as I said this isnt bad.

I think it was around '77 mate

If Im wrong someone will tell us....

Cheers Mel  Was it Sam? or were a few people playing it?

I've just remembered that I had a record with a blank label that I stuck a Letraset Action Transfer of a blue shark on and stuck it in my sales box for a laugh. Loads of people were like "is that the blue sharks - how much?"

What an idiot I used to be laugh.gif
