Thanks  Martin .  For a change I'm not going to actually request any tunes apart from one and as you know it's not  new to me but it was to quite a few regular listeners.

 I would just like to dedicate it to each and every single person who has been part of this amazing thing called BVAN, those who only managed to listen for a few records to those that have been a constant from week one , listeners,  requesters , DJs and especially the wonderful people in the background who have made it all possible ❤ 

Love is certainly a warm kind of sorrow after tonight,  tears maybe, sadness definitely,  missing people who have become firm friends without ever knowingly meeting them definitely. Saturday nights will never be the same again.

All of these I first heard on BVAN,  just goes to show you never stop learning.

If you said to me 15 months ago a playlist from me would contain so many 'modern' tunes I wouldn't have believed you.

I've learned so much from the BVAN nighters, so tomorrow will be bitter sweet.

Thanks again to all the BVAN crew and DJs, and all the regulars in the chatroom.

Andy sums up perfectly, "Life on the Van"......Bittersweet absolutely........a void Very difficult to fill......

Less than 24 hours now until the final BVAN.  Best thing that's happened over the last 16 months, better than any website, radio station,  any music player . Thay have all been put to shame by this,  coming together of like minded souls to listen to this music we love and chat .without any censorship,  bullshit , politics, all served with fantastic knowledge and pure and simple fun and banter

This  show is taking place tonight as i was diagnosed Covid 19 last monday      right at the end ffsake   as is everyone else who lives here  .

All  of a sudden i needed a project to make me busy ,  i asked Simon and he okd everything     both him and emma have been isolating also  and have been brilliant to us .x

goodness me ive been  poorly  .When the VAN started i had hoped to contribute to Bury VAN to be able to help keep things going for the nighter crowd  and help Simon and Pete as much as i could     .    Its what  i do  i like a carry on and feel at home when im dancing Bury was and is a great all nighter with a few others who stay true to the roots 

Giants of the scene like Baz M  Chalky  Steve Smith  Simon I Pete C   Bob Hinsley  Wilxy ,Dave  Len ,Fingers, The Jackos have given so much to us   for that i am truly grateful    im sure the list has some glarring ommissions   apologies for that    it is not just that though .Its the support in life that has been totaly inspiring for me  thank you all of you for your company your soul and your friendship i am totally overwhelmed This journey has been   totally special          a once in a lifetime thing driven by love empathy understanding        One last time then !

Get well soon Martin and your family. That's all we need, the star man down and out of action . Not sure how it's going to affect you from playing out next week my friend but health and family obviously need to come first. wishing you and your families a speedy recovery.

We honestly don't think you truly realise what you have done these last 16 months.

The team and everyone on BVAN (including the Keeper and all of the lurkers) have kept us buzzing all week.

You gave us the opportunity to do a new to me set on the same night as a special friend and legend Gilly, we never thought that would happen in our lifetime.

You are all legends to us, your commitment and passion is off the scale, we will never forget.

From me, my heartfelt thanks to everyone for being there, the goodwill, the love and the kindness that everyone showed at BVAN. Everyone brought their own magic to share with everyone else & magic it certainly has been. My biggest possible thank you to Simon for asking me to be involved at the outset and being the genius inventor he is, and making it happen. Martin L for his sheer love of music & people, an inspiration. 

I will look forward to chuckling at random for years to come at some of the comments and stuff that happened at BVAN and reflecting on what we all went through together, the more serious stuff. Most of all I will look forward to saying hello in person.

What can i say about tonight. certainly brought a lump to the throat as it eased down to the last few tunes. its been a honour and privilege to listen to so many records played without prejudice or politics just for the pure love of this fantastic music and chat to each and every single person  on the BVAN
